Rebuilding a Chrysler Imperial 413 Big Block
Mika Jaakkola replied to Mika Jaakkola's topic in Technical
Thanks Keiser, I have almost all i need already. Ordered directly from US of A! -
I'm rebuilding one at the moment. It seems to be worn out, that the cylinders needs to be drilled to 030 oversize. After this, is the balancing necessary? Did they do it for factory engines ? This will be in 100% stock use, no races or anything like that.

John, I haven't received any PM's yet... -
Well, this topic might have been here before but let's give it another try. Just took this photo couple of days ago. That is considered an old car already I think, but it gets about 300 miles/every week

Just received pictures of my car (which is currently in Florida) from my brother. The was a major dent in passenger side front fender and it was taken to body shop. They decided to paint the whole car, which is still ongoing. Also they are replacing the vinyl top. I hope they get it finished this summer.

In Finland we have to do that too, though it costs ~$70 /year. (+exhaust fume measurement cost) So it easily goes over $100 / car / year.

Wow , great Max! Congratulations! In case you need any parts for it, I'd bet that Finland is one place to find those. There were lot's of Pobedas in Finlnad during 50's and 60's.

But, you were serious! Hey, they didn't use A/C back in the 30's, so I don't think it's a MUST accessory in todays world either!
