Do you have any engine or vehicle production numeber of your project Reo? I have two Reos from 1926 a 4D Sedan and 2tn truck. Both are Model Gs. Feel free to ask more help. 2. Layden B, Thank you so much correcting me. Jordans would propably been too fancy cars for farmer family like this. I may well be so that this photo is taken in early 1920´s and the cars are bit used already. At least the front fender of the Stude seems to be bended. Happy new year 2009 to yuo all Juha Kaitanen Turku, Finland
  3. Hi! Here a photo which was sent by Finnish immigrants to relatives living in old homeland. On the back of the photo they tell that these are our family cars. When taking a closer look on the photo I noticed that there is a small arrow head on the hub cap of the smaller car. So I wonder if this is a Jordan of early production. Any notices on the photo is again greatly appreciated. Hope year 2009 will be nice to all of us Juha Kaitanen Turku, Finland

  5. Hi! Thank you so much for your great help. I have a frind who owns a Paige from 1920´s. The car in the photo is propably long gone. Nice to have a photo left. Season greatings Juha

About the first photo I have idea that it could be Paige from 1914-15. I shall send the second photo with another message. That is true mystery photo for me - I do not have any idea about the make of the car! Thank you for your help in advance Juha Kaitanen Turku, Finland

  14. Hi! A friend of mine owns a 1951 200 Deluxe. He told me that at one time the Packard was equipped with manual transmission. Can this be true? I would think that Ultramatic was at this time only option. The ultramatic is not working properly because he has not proper parts on kickdown lingage. The movement between gas pedal and ultramatic transmission is not right. Are there any pictures of the kickdown lingage? Juha Kaitanen Turku, Finland
  15. Hi! In my 4D Sedan from 1926 there is no oil pressure or water temperature gauges. I plan to instal them some where undes the dash. I have been looking Moto Meter catalog for suitable gauges. Any idea where to instal the sender units - what is the best place on the motor block to meter oil pressure or water temperature. Juha Kaitanen
  16. Hi! It is awfully quiet here. Anyway I would like to ask other Reo folks this. Did they have a travel packet rack kit for G Model Reo from 1926? It would be nice to have your things packet on the rear end of the car during long journeys rather than having them on back seat area. Good Mothers Day from Finland Juha Kaitanen
  17. Hi! Reo Wolverine was in production years 1927 and 1928. This is a lower priced Reo with Continental engine. There are quite a few photos in internet. Just google them up. A frind of mine has a Wolverine from 1927. Hope this helps Juha Kaitanen Turku, Finland

  19. Jerry, "If you make a whole new set you can update the gears to a modern profile and save money." That is very good point! These kinds of advices make forums very enjoyable and useful. Do you have any photos of it? You could sent the photos to my email. Best wishes Juha Kaitanen

The truck was bought as a new to Finland and it is under total restoration. The passenger car I bought from Texas last autunm and it is in pretty original shape. I need to do some minor repaire work on chassis. I guess the total number of Reos is round 20. Best wishes from Turku, Finland Juha Kaitanen
  22. Hi! A friend of mine has remains of Reo Model 15 Flying Cloud from 1930 - at least we think so at the moment. According to records the car should be equipped with Continental 16 E or 19 E engine. My friend has found making like 17E distributor base. Could it be so that the original engine broke down and they took engine from some other vehicle? Can anyone of you tell where they used Continental 17 E engine or did they produce such engine at all? Where can you locate the engine serial number? Any information is greatly appreciated. Best wishes from Turku, Finland Juha Kaitanen

  24. Hi! I just bought a history book about the production of Elcar and pratt automobiles. This fine book is written by William S. Locke. I bought it because even in Finland we had some Elcars. There was a firm called "Moottoritoimisto Elis Rikala" in Tampere. This firm was a local dealer for this make of automobile. I have a 4-cylinder Lycoming engine which used to give power to a Eĺcar. I would like to contact Mr. Locke in order to ask him some questions. I may also have some information which may interest Mr. Locke. Best wishes Juha Kaitanen Turku, Finland
