We need to ship a Packard engine and trans from PA to Texas. Restored engine and trans in a well built crate on a skid. Care to guess the cost by Fed Ex Freight using our Fed Ex account?

Any details on a Loco that was crashed on the way home from Hershey? Hope no one was seriously injured. I lusted after this car after seeing it driving around at Hershey.

I have been to Hershey when it was 91 degrees and when it was 27 degrees. Like Hans we drove the 45 miles to Hershey during Covid just so we could continue to say we have not missed a Hershey in 56 years.

10 day forecast calls for PERFECT weather at Hershey next week. Temps in the 70s and low 80s with no rain in the forecast the entire week! This will be my 56th Hershey. Figure 3 days average each year equals 168 days in the flea market. I have spent almost half a year in the Hershey flea market. That's just crazy when you think about. I am afraid to add up all the $ we have spent just for our spaces in those 56 years.

Anyone looking for a '33 Packard Coupe Roadster project stop by RWO 10. Apart but 99% complete. Outright sale or we will happily restore it for you.

Even ridiculous offers considered. Wife says it has to go.

Our first year in the flea market was '68. There were maybe 500 spaces. We would walk the entire market in the morning, return to our camper for lunch, then walk the entire thing again.

Your problem is the "gulp valve". Ex wife and I drove 2 MGBs as far as they would go before rusting to death and both required replacement of the gulp valve to cure pervasive back firing.

What are the chances of finding a restorable original V-12 engine for a '33 Auburn?

Truth is, and we all know it, if you are looking for a specific part or service you can be more productive spending a few hours online searching for that part and making connections with folks who might have that elusive part than you can in a full day of walking Hershey. Like it or not Hershey has become an annual gathering where some folks vend parts and services while many other are there for the "family reunion". This will be my 56th Hershey. I learned of the existence of AACA and the Hershey meet in 1968 while recuperating from a very serious auto accident and became fascinated with "old cars". Yes we advertise our services but I will also be there to enjoy the memories it brings back. My Son, now 40 was at Hershey when he was 7 weeks old and is now a life member, has never missed Hershey, and now makes his living restoring cars. I knew my Dad was terminal when he told me in '86 that he would not be able to make it to Hershey. Mom loved Hershey and came every year as long as she was physically able and she could not tell a Model A from a Duesenberg. I have been told by reliable sources that at least 2 AACA members have had their ashes scattered at Hershey. Please do not deny me and others these memories that only come flooding back at Hershey. I suspect that if vending parts was not allowed at Hershey many folks would still show up for "The Greatest Show on Earth". We even drove up to Hershey the year the event was cancelled due to Covid just so we could say we never missed a year. Hershey means a lot to many folks. Please do not ruin it with too many rules and regulations.

Wil an ALF V-12 engine fit in and work in a '33 Auburn 12 chassis? Asking for a friend. (Really I am.)

Thanks, learned something new here.
I just found the thought of “Coupe Roadster” a bit weird (an oxymoron, if you will ?
Packard also made a Coupe Sedan.

In 1932, '33 and '34 Packard advertised their convertibles as "Coupe Roadsters". 2 door conv with roll up windows.

My Son, age 40, grew up in our restoration shop working mostly on pre war cars. The business is now his and he is in a good spot. He is experienced with pre war stuff and that's what he enjoys working on. He has almost more work than he can handle.

Yea, my Son showed me a pic of the wreck (which I will not post) that someone sent him. The car is definitely repairable. Happily the driver and passengers will be OK but what a shame.
