  5. I was just contacted by the service department manager at Folger's Buick in Charlotte, Norht Carolina. He has a customer that has owned their 1990 Buick Reatta since new and was looking to sell. He said the Reatta was purchased new form the dealership and has been very well maintained. I did not get the color combo however if anyone is interested please contact Roy Hall in the service department @ Folger Automotive Tyvola 400 Tyvola Rd. 6. I have to agree that the turnout was disappointing. I can only hope that next year it will be at least twice the size as this year was with a lot more lit and info to be had. The more folks that know about it the more folks that will participate to make it a better show. I also saw the hot rod get together on RT 321.
  7. I'm outraged and discusted that your were treated like that. I would make a direct call to the BBB immediately.
  8. It was a great time and we took lunch in Blowing Rock, NC. This is the first time that I atended this event and believe they are planning it again next year but not positive. There were only two Reattas in attendance including mine. Keep checking the board or E-mail Jerry Boden for info. I know that the Carolina division meets every year at the Food Lion auto fair spring and fall @ Lowes Motor Speedway also.
  9. What an impressive poster. What a future the Reatta had they just jumped the gun when they pulled this car. I have talked to dealers years after the pull of the Reratta and they have all said that the Reatta was ahead of it time, they all had 3 times the inquires after the production was stopped then while in production. Remember the Mazda Miata craze? that happened after the Reatta stopped production.

    Changes Made

John, You have done a fantastic job on the rear presentation of your Reatta. This is really the nicest job I have seen in reguard to exhaust and trunk handle. Great Job!
  22. I saw that story on the news and thought, what a great story. Shows how well buicks have been and are made. Built to last a lifetime even as a seafaring vessel. i would like to see any other car accomplish this feat. Excellent story

    Favorite Gas

I might as well add my two cents to the conservation. I have always used Phillips 66 89 Octane in my 89 reatta and have never had any problems and get great mileage as well. In an emergency on the road I will stop at a Shell or Texaco and fill up with their 89 Octane also. I know that regular gas is reccommended however I get less gas milage with regular and even though it is cheaper at the pump I visited the pump more often ultimately not saving any money. Thats my routine and I'm sticking with it. If its not broken, it dosen't need fixin'. To comment on the usage of Speedway gasoline, I used to use it in my truck but found it cut gas mileage and and I developed a problem with carbon buildup. I can't say for sure that it was the gas but I have not had that problem on any other car and i also no longer use their gas. I wonder if its the 10% meth that they use? The cheaper price for the gas I don't see worth the posssible problems it causes. well, that's my 2 cents. Happy Trails Ya'll
  24. Barney, the Reatta is a coupe with a factory sunroof and poor repaint. I must have mistyped the VIN #.
