I am looking for a 4 spoke sport wheel for my Buick...yes I said Buick. I like the look of the 4 spoke wheel as opposed to the buick 3 spoke. But if anyone here has a buick wheel, don't hesitate to shout out to me.
It should look something like this:
Thanks,
Adam

I am looking for a good sport wheel for my car. I have one from an olds on my buick right now and I would like another one like it. It has 4 spokes. If anyone has a Buick 3 spkoe sport wheel with the fat wheel I would be interested.
I included pics of the thick wheel I want. I am also posting this in the olds forum to see if I get any bites over there. The olds forum is so dead..nobody ever posts over there.
Thanks,
Adam

glavin!
um...Have you made sure the exhaust system is clear? something is not letting the engine breathe like it should I suspect.
This is odd...just pull it out and throw in a 455.

good luck finding one. Is it so bad you have to replace the whole thing? Or can you cut some out and fab the rest?

Sounds like a basket case to me!

check compression. if you find one cylinder that is low, you have a leaking valve, which can cause hesitation on acceleration.
check timing. (I might have said that already, I don't remember)

That's an awesome list of parts they have! Is there anything like that for buicks? I was pretty surprised to see the sheet metal in there. Nobody makes sheet metal for the big buicks it seems.

I have a LeSabre, but that's slightly off track from what you want

I live in St. Peters, a suburb of St. Louis. I don't think I've met anyone here from the St. Louis area. Everyone's either from Michigan or Chicago!
Our51Super is in Maryville, IL...not too far from St. Louis. But that's as close as I've gotten.

The 71-7* Electras were very similar in styling to the caddies...It had to be the rear end. I hope you corrected the service guys at the dealer!

What model is the car you're looking at? I have the same problem with a car I'm about to buy. It's a 71 Centurion. Please say this isn't the same car you're looking at. I'll have to fight you for it.
If you find a source for your parts, shoot me a message and I'll see if they have parts for me!

rebuild the carb, unless you've already done that.

If you think you can tackle a frame replacement project, more power to ya....it will definitely be an experience. Buy another car. It will save you a lot of grief.

I don't know much about HEI, but that sounds like a possibility...make sure the plugs are clean and check the wires...maybe replace them if they are more than 30000 miles old. It's possible that the plugs have some oil buildup which causes hesitation at throttle.

I had an occurence that when I had a large amplifier for my stereo system hooked up it drew a lot of current from the battery and created a pretty bad hesitation for a long time. I finally ripped it out and figured out the problem.
