  1. 1935 Pontiac. The speed stripes on the mudguards and the unusual tail lights are the give away. Manuel in Oz
  2. Nearchocolatetown, Just out of curiousity I did a Google [& others] pic search of "Dodge utes" and got some good hits. Manuel in Oz
  3. Keiser, Or other blokes interested in Slopers. Do u have the Crestline book on Pontiacs? If so on page 152 & 160 there are good pics of Slopers. Found Chev/GM pics but I can't find any Mopar Slopers. Restored Cars magazine is supposed to be working on an Oz Mopar book. Richards did Dodges and Holden did Chryslers and Plyms. Manuel in Oz
  4. Yep. 1933/4 officially but before that as well. U could get roadster utes up to the 1940's. Manuel in Oz
  5. We had special 2 door coupes here called "Slopers". They were sort of an early fastback. GM and Ford had them in the late 30's. Not sure about Richards. regards Manuel in Oz
  6. Hi Windjamer, Don't know what the pump was. I am not an expert but will try and answer some of your questions on Ford cars. The Model A Ford went from 1928 to 31. After that they went by year. Some people call 32's B models. The B had the 4 cyl and the first V8's were Model 18's. Then 33-4's were the Model 40's etc. Hope this helps. Manuel in Oz
  7. He looks old and tired. Then again with 5 kids......... Where did they all fit? The crank handle is at a funny angle. R they wire wheels at the back? Manuel in Oz
  8. My guess; the 2nd bus is a Model A Ford. Don't know the first. More guesses: Chev 4 facing the 1st bus. 3 identical cars facing Chev. What r they? And a Model T in between them? Manuel in Oz
  9. Funny how some pics can brighten up your day!!! Its a shame the pic is torn. Did anybody notice that? It took me a while :-) Or what about the old Model T Ford [apart from Layden]? Old cars sure are interesting! Manuel in Oz
  10. Hi Keiser, Its the vertical bar that the headlights sit on. Its missing here. But there should be one on each side. See the other 29 pics. [esp the red sedan] I think most of the GM cars had them around that time. Cheers, Manuel
  11. I think they are called Tilleys. Most of the UK car companies supplied them during the war. Manuel in Oz
  12. More 29's!! They are highly modified RHD commercials. No expense spared here. The 1929 shape was used until about 1931/2 [in the USA]. Is it the same lady in both pics? Fascinating photos. Can u give us some info on the desert expedition/Brockhursts? Manuel in Oz
  13. Must have been a good party! Manuel in Oz
  14. I'll have a go at naming it Vintman. Its a 1929/30 Chev. Possibly a sedan or some other closed body type. There were lots of body styles avail as well as different wheels etc for those models. Not sure what was avail in Europe tho. Its had a hard life. Damage to the guards, missing candle stick and headlight lenses. Or are they Euro lights? Manuel in Oz
  15. Yes Keiser. I think it is. Manuel in Oz
  16. 1929-30 Chevs were pretty similiar in looks. I think there may have been small mechanical differences. Is this posed pic taken in the USA? This poor old girl has had a hard life. One candle stick is missing. And I am not sure about the bumper bars. Manuel in Oz
  17. My KC Dodge shell has it. Manuel in Oz
  18. Just doesn't look right to me. Not factory and all out of proportion. The bonnet actually sits higher/wider than the firewall!! Manuel in Oz
  19. Can we get a larger pic?
  20. It has a commercial/hire car look about it. The large body, heavy duty components eg, back wheels, roof rack, uniformed driver, large tool box and huge 1 piece windscreen etc. Could it belong to a large estate?? Manuel in Oz
  21. And it doesn't appear very big either. Manuel in Oz
  22. Manuel

    help me, identify

There is that NARROW truck again with the finned top tank on the radiator. Is it a Nash?? The first truck is RHD and the 2nd Left. Manuel in Oz
  23. Brad, My Richards firewall looks the same as yours. There weren't any ID tags on my car [a KC] when I got it and there doesn't appear to be any holes for them. There is a TJR tag on the floor tho. Manuel in Oz
  24. Someone told me that Chryslers of that era had the same bolt pattern as Fords of the same age. Maybe someone can try it. Manuel in Oz
