I beleive it should but I recall something about the flywheel having to be changed to meet up with the starter motor.If you have the flywheel from the 78 engine it should work. ronvb

When all is said and done--it is worth for what you can sell it for. Why not put it up for sale as best offer and settle for the highest offer if you can live with that price? ronvb

When I replied I either did not see the attached pic or it was added later. Looking at the pic the car looks rougher then described. ronvb

A picture would tell us more in this case.But I'll take a stab at it.$3500-$5000. They only came with 4-cylinder engines although they were very popular to swap in a V8 engine by the hot rod crowd. ronvb

If you could post a picture it might give us a better idea. All depends on condition,options and what it would take to restore or make a driver.Any Chevy that has been sitting for 20+ years is going to have brake issues, possibly engine,transmission, and axle seals that are dried out and if leaking need of relacement.I have seen them go anywhere from $1800 for a rough one to-$12,000 for a cherry or restored show car.If the body and interior is solid then it may bring up to $5000.to the right person. ronvb
