I have rebuilt the Carter carb for the 65 Skylark GS,.....I am about to reinstall it, but there seems to be somethig missing. Should there be a metal plate or gasket installed between the carb and the top of the intake? We have the one gasket, but it looks like there should be another gasket to allow for vacuum. I know Chevy had a metal gasket between the carb and intake, wondering if Buick had the same setup? Is there a part number or gasket available? Your help is appreciated. Thanks! John

Kind of a long story, but my brother is restoring his 64 Skylark and the guy doing the engine work was set to paint it silver, he called the guy he gets his paint from and he said the color should be aqua. So the engine guy called me and wanted to know if the 64 had a silver engine or aqua, I told him I was sure it was silver, but would find out on the board. The rush was with him,....he wanted to paint today. I called around and found out it is supposed to be silver and told the engine guy, so that is what we went with. I have a grill for a 64 Skylark that I need to get rid of. It has some cracks and the lower right corner has one horizontal bar broken out. (About 3 inch section) $15.00 for the grill plus shipping. I also have a rear tail light set for the same car. It comes with the housings, and lenses, both right and left sides, some pitting, but good for a driver. $40.00 plus shipping. I have a new hood ornament for a 65 Skylark/Skylark GS, I would be willing to trade for a working console tachometer for my 65 Skylark GS, or a set of 14 inch Radial Redline tires. I have a 300 Buick engine from a 64 Skylark for sale. It ran when it was parked 20 years ago. Engine is now out of the car, it is complete. Asking $200.00 or make an offer. Hello, Can anyone tell me how to go about starting a BCA chapter in Western Wisconsin? Would anyone be interested in joining? I know there are alot of us BCA folks in west and centeral Wisconsin and the closest chapters (only chapters) are in the Madison/Milwaukee areas and in the east near Green Bay.
