1. Hello Victor, I wanted to let you know I think I have 4 NOS caps for your car, but I won't know until Monday January 3rd. So if you can hang in there til then, I will let you know. Have a Great New Year! John
2. Randy, the part # for your hood ornament is 25532176 and has been discontinued by Buick. I will check the shelf when I get home at noon to see if I have one. If I am not mistaken, it is square in design with a "banner" going accross it diagonally? Have a great day! John

6. Hello Bob, I saw your post,......not only do I have center caps, how about the hole wire wheel cover??? I have 4 of them.....NOS, complete with the center caps! I do not have the brackets to mount them to the rims, but.....you could probably use the ones you have. I will sell them as a set, and I won't ask an arm or a leg. How much would they be worth to you? I have pictures if you are interested. Email me at JSimonson@tds.net Thanks for your time. John Simonson Wisconsin 715-743-2253
7. I know a guy that has this LeSabre 4dr hardtop. It is for sale with 18,165 actual miles. The trunk and interior are like new, the engine is a 350 V8 with 4bbl carb. It runs like an Elgin watch! It is Medium Blue Poly with a black interior. And I mean this car is LIKE NEW! Never been in foul weather! He is asking $5700.00! You can't buy one this good for that. He is selling due to health reasons. Located in Wisconsin (cheeeese) If you want more information, let me know. Thanks and God Bless America!! (If you know what I mean!) John
8. Tony, Please send me more information of the 65 Skylark, including photos. Thanks for your time. John Simonson JSimonson@tds.net
9. I would just like to take this time and wish each and every one of you a Happy 4th of July. My son is a SGT in the USMC and is corrently in Iraq near Fallujah. He is scheduled to come home in Sept and he can't wait to get back to a burger on the grill! He states it is hot, usually around 130 degrees, and very humid with sand blowing and sticking to you like you were a sticky fly strip. In this country, we take many things for granted, but keep in mind the one thing our troops are over there for.......FREEDOM. We are ONE NATION UNDER GOD! Thanks, and Happy 4th!
10. I have for sale and very nice original 225 4 dr hardtop. The car is very solid with very minimal rust. It has 72,285 actual miles. PS, PB, P seats, am radio, Wildcat 445 engine, flawless interior. The car has sat for the last several years. The engine runs great! The car was sitting in a garage I aquired, it has some fading from a window it was near. It is teal (aqua) in color with a white top and an auqa, interior. The interior is near perfect, all it needs is detailing, no cracks in the dash or steering wheel. The chrome is great with no pitting, just needs polishing. (The rear bumper is rough) Otherwise someone could end up with a VERY EASY restoration!! Asking $1500.00 VIN # is 8J1012714 Give me a call, or e mail me. 715-743-2252 or e mail me at simonson@tznet.com Thanks for your interest in this and let me know your questions.
11. OK John, so you are saying, save it as a collector, but my question is, just how much of a collector does a 4 door hardtop make? Is there demand for such a unit? Thanks again, John
12. I know where there is a 73 Buick LeSabre Custom for sale. The car is original and mint. It is a 4 dr hardtop, with only 18,732 actual miles. It is fully loaded and has the original Buick Rally wheels. I am wondering, is there much of a collector want for this type of car, or should it be bought and just used as a daily driver? It can be purchased for $5000,00. What are your thoughts on this car....collector or driver? Thanks for your thoughts. John

15. Hi I am looking for a chrome piece that fits on the right A-pillar on a 63 Electra 225 convert. It doesn't have to be new, a good used one will be great. Also, where is the convert top motor located? I need to remove it to have it rebuilt. email: simonson2@charter.net Thanks, Harley
16. Hi there, I am looking for the chrome piece that fits on the right A-Pillar on a 63 Electra 225 convertible. Is there anyone who knows where I could get one. It doesn't have to be new, a good used one will do. Also, where is the convert top motor located on the same vehicle? I need to remove it for repairs. 17. Hello there,.....I have never owned a Buick 430 engine. I have the chance to buy a 69 Riv GS with 28,000 act miles on it. I have heard some bad things about the 430 engine, specifically the oiling system. Are these engine dependable, or will it go haywire for me? I would like to know before I buy it and wish I wouldn't have. Any help would be most greatful! Thanks, John
18. I am considering buying my first 430 engine. It's in a 69 Riviera. The car has 28,000 act miles, and is like new. Should I be concerned about this? Is this a common problem with the 430? Will I buy it and have problems with this engine? Please let me know before I make a costly mistake in buying this car. Thanks, Harley
19. Crin, You sure are right about there being toooo much Chevy stuff out there!! It gets kind of aggravating. So you know what I do when I take my old 69 Riv out to car shows? On the information form you have on your dash during the show,.....where it says "Outstanding Features"....I simply put...... It's not a Chevy or a Ford! That kind of gets to them! H
20. Hey Rob, thanks for the information, I don't know of any tire dealers that do that around here. We are kind of back in the stone ages, here the top songs on the radio are "Emotion" by Samantha Sang and "Before the Next Teardrop Falls" by Freddie Fender. I think I'd go with either a RWL BF Goodrich TA radial or a wider whitewall (about 2 inches wide) if I could find them. I think the RWL would look sharp, and give it a sporty look, especially given the fact that it is a GS. I think, "wider is better" when it comes to the new tires though. Thanks for your insight, and happy Buicking! John
21. When I registered, it seems like everything I tried as a user name was taken, and it just so happened a Buick commercial came on TV at the time, and my daughter suggested using "Harley Earl", so I did and it went through!! That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! Thanks for your help, I'll take your words into advise. Now, the next question is,....can I afford a set of red line tires????
22. In my 1969 Buick sales book, it states the Riviera had H70-15 wide oval tires available. What is a "wide oval tire"? Is it a white letter tire or a different type of white wall? Would the car look nice with a set of BF Goodrich TA's on it? Need your help. Thanks simonson2@charter.net
23. Hello, In my 1969 Buick sales book, it states the 69 Riv had 8.55 x 15 white sidewall tires standard, it also states "H70-15 wide oval tires are available" My question is,...are the H70-15 wide oval tires white lettered or a different white wall? Would white letters look OK on the Riv? Look forward to you response. Thanks.
24. I have for sale tail light lenses for 65 Buick Special, (I don't know if they will fit a Skylark) one is NOS in the box and the other is very nice used, it looks new. Also have 4 14" hubcaps for a 65 Special, they are very nice, the center medallions are a little discolored. I have photos if you want me to e mail any to you. I have enclosed a photo of the tail lights. Make an offer on the lot, or any piece you need. I will toss them in the garbage when the truck comes on Wednesday this coming week (2-26-03) if not sold. simonson2@charter.com
25. Hi there, I'm trying to help my Dad out, he is looking for a chrome trim piece that goes over the A pillar on his 64 Electra 225 convertible (right side) and he is looking for the toggle lever for the convertible top. It's the toggle that is under the dash pad with the rest of the toggles. (The lever you pull toward you to lower and raise the convert top). If any one could help him out, please e mail "Daniel" at: melody@discover-net.net He and I would appreciate it. (The car is from California, he may even consider selling it, beautiful condition. Contact him for more info). Thanks
