  1. Hi,..... I am helping my brother restore his 64 Skylark. We are looking for rear quarter panels...either lower patch panels or the entire quarter panels. We are also looking for a steering wheel, if it has some cracks in it, that would be OK. If anyone can help me out, e mail me, or call during the day 1-888-743-3207 toll free,....or email at: JSimonson@TDS.net or ruddracing28@hotmail.com Thanks for any help. John Simonson Neillsville, Wisconsin
  2. How would you like to add a 1973 Buick LeSabre Custom to your stable? It has 18,000 actual miles!! The original owner has it and wants to sell. It is a 4 dr hdtp, Medium Blue Poly top and bottome with a beautiful like new black interior! Asking $7500.00, and worth it! I have seen it and it is unbelieveable! John
  3. No, it's just the angle of the photo, the antenna is just ahead of the wiper cowl. By the way,...the nut for the antenna base is cracked, anyone know where I can get a new plastic nut? Thanks, John
  4. Thanks,.....I'll check into it! John
  5. Thanks for the nice compliments guys,......I like the look of the painted roof as well,.....something a little different. "Dare to be different"...that's how I live my life,....do or have something not everyone else will have or do.... I have been looking for a set of floor mats for it, either the Buick tri-shield mats or some good rubber with the GS logo. I will definately have it at various shows, and I hope to meet as many of you as possible. I plan on taking it to the National meet in Rochester Minnesota next year. I have always been a Buick nut, and I always will be. Thanks again and I'll be in touch! John P.S. Keith,.....It's hard for me NOT to go a "little" over the speed limit, but you can rest assured, a speeding ticket is not in my future,......I have been duly warned by my wife!!! Besides, I have never had a speeding ticket, and don't plan on one now!!
  6. My wife and I picked up this 65 Skylark GS in Illinois a month ago. Runs great. Has had a full restoration. Drove it to the Gopher State show on May 1st. Always wanted a Big Block Buick........ Now we're happy! John and Jan Simonson Neillsville, Wisconsin
  7. I agree with Reatta Man.........I think those of you that have issues with GM and their products need to come and see and test drive them now in the 21st Century! Have you gone to your nearest GM dealer to push the "Hot Button" yet? Your chance to win a new GM vehicle! As a service advisor for many years at a GM dealership, and serveral more at other dealerships, I have undertaken much training, and the one thing I have learned is,...if the customer is happy with their vehicles, they won't say much to anyone, whereas, if they are dissatisfied with their vehicle or the service they are provided, they will complain to many people. I think that is the situation we have here.....a few people that are dissatisfied with their GM products are "whining and complaining" about them. Bad news travels fast,....NO MATTER HOW BLOWN OUT OF PROPORTION IT IS! I tell you, I have had some problems with the GM vehicles I have owned. No matter how bad the problems I would never bad mouth the company, or AMERICA. In a sence, that is what you are doing, and I would be willing to bet, that those of you that are driving a foreign car are the ones that are the first to complain about the sour economy and the ever increasing lack of jobs in the USA.
  8. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Send me the e-mail for the head of Buick's styling department (IF they still have one!) and I will e-mail him myself! My first hint was that it was called a REGAL. Seems around GM these days you let an old established name wither away to nothing then replace it with something with absolutely no meaning whatsoever. (Can you say Aveo or Cobalt?) </div></div> OK, I think it's time we start to get serious with the people at GM, I think we should show them who's boss. If we can find an email address, I think we SHOULD start to email them with a photo of this car, and ask them WHEN???? Why not, what have we got to loose?? Let's get the email address, and when each one of us emails them, we should sign up on a thread started just for this, that way we can keep a running total. Email your friends and have them do it to. I will put this link on the V8Buick.com site as well. Let's get the ball rolling as it's high time we start to stand up for what WE THE PEOPLE believe! NOW,.....lets tackle the gas problem! Thanks, John
  9. If this car IS in the works,.......put my name on one for sure! I would think Buick should get there thumb out from where it doesn't belong and get some "younger" stuff in the works! Secondly,....fire some of the "big wigs" (mainly LUTZ) that are making toooooo much money and put it where they need to put it. Thanks for your time, John
  10. Is there anyone that could haul a car for me from Maryland to Wisconsin? Anyone going that way, or coming from that area? Would you have an idea of cost? Hauling a 68 Skylark. Perfer enclosed, but open is OK if that's what it takes. Thanks for your help. John JSimonson@TDS.net or ruddracing28@hotmail.com please put "car hauling BCA site" in the subject line. Thanks!
  11. Thanks guys,......is there anything else I can check to verify this is a GS,....like is the battery on the right side like other GS'??? Thanks again for your help. John
  12. Hello,......to check an engine to see if it is "numbers matching", the engine number must be the same as the vehicle's id number,..correct? Where would the engine number be on a 401 engine on a 65 GS? Thanks for your time. John
  13. reduced I tell ya!!! reduced! Thanks for lookin'!
  14. No problem Lamar, just let me know. Thanks, John
  15. I'll check and let you know. I know Amy is home from college on spring break, I'll call her tonight. I'll also pass along the compliments! John
  16. Hello Lamar,....Thanks for the comments, I'll pass them along to Amy. I'll ask if she wants to do more. She is a college student and I know she could use the $$. I'll check and let you know. Thanks again! John
  17. They sure do look nice with the sun shining through! I gave her some $$ as she is in college and I thought I'd help her a little! I'll try to get a photo of the frame and everything, so you can see the finished product! I'll ask her if she would be interested in making more if any one on the board is interested. I'll pass along your comments as well. John
  18. You'll have to take a look at what my wife's cousin made for me. I think she did a fabulous job. It measures 19" x 13"......and she is just 18 years old. She really has a talent for this. I just finished framing it with an oak frame. Now I am going to set up some lighting in the basement and hang it near the "Buick" wall!

  20. I have 4 very, very nice rally rims that I would sell. They are 14x6 with the code "JJ" stamped on them along with "991" on the inner rim. The chrome is like new with no rust on the face. The bead is in great shape on all 4. I sand blasted them,....primed and painted them last fall. Now they are in my dry basement waiting for a car to go on. I would say they are show car status, but you could use them on a driver as well. I do not have the center caps. I believe they would fit on the 66 model, not sure though, perhaps someone out there would know. I would like to get $50.00 each for them. Let me know if you want more info or photos. Thanks for your time. John
  21. It's time to do some spring cleaning, and I need to get rid of some of my Bulge magazines! I would like to sell them in yearly sets......I have March-Dec 1998,.....January-Dec 1999,....January-Dec 2000,..... January-Dec 2001 (I am missing May 2001),......January-Dec 2002,...... and January-Dec 2003 (I am missing May 2003) I don't know why May comes up missing????? In the words of Richard Nixon...."I just don't understand it" 68 issues total if I am counting correctly. I don't know what to ask for them......if you want to make an offer, that would be great, otherwise email me and we can discuss it. I need to get rid of them and I hate the tought of throwing them out. They are all in perfect condition. Thanks for your time. John JSimonson@TDS.net
  22. Hello again,.....I also have a set of 4 "chrome" center caps for a 97-03 Regal. They are Chrome or "bright metal" Part # 9592589 on package. They are 7 inches in diameter. They retail for $42.86 each, and I will sell the set of 4 for,......$50.00, how 'bout that? I took the one out of the package to take the photo, they are new and have never been on a car. Shipping is on me! Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for your time,.....John JSimonson@TDS.net
