I have had great luck with oxylic acid. You can buy it on ebay or amazon. I little goes a long way. For something like a chassis, I'd use a rags soaked in it and rap them in plastic wrap. Its easy to neutralize and is not aggressive.

I didn't know they had a class for convertibles. Learn something new every day!
