  1. Thanks Walt! Fully understand. Appreciate you keeping them in mind. Wasn't sure if you had them catalogued to easily find them. I know you were very busy writing a book last time we conversed. Thanks again!
  2. Walt, you said on this thread that years ago, you saw a Moyer in the factory on one of your visits. Tell us more. Did you take any photos? Here's H. A. Moyer's grandson, H. Edward Moyer, with Moyer roadster, Car #370 in the late 1930s, sitting in the factory building his grandfather kept to sell Stearns-Knight and Velie cars and still service the Moyer cars he built and sold. This roadster was purchased new in 1914 by A.B. Wood, Syracuse who owned the Syracuse Glove Factory. This photo most likely shows H. Edward when he purchased the car from Wood. The car was later sold and went to Pennsylvania and had 3 different owners there. John L. Baum, Sterling Walter and Verdon Rustine.
  3. Is it this one Jim? If so, its a 1914 Moyer roadster (previous owner called it a 1913). Its the "newest" Moyer extant, Car #370. But "Truly Vintage", who started this tread in 2021 said a 1911 Moyer roadster was found. Have yet to see photos of it.
  4. Sorry so late in responding Terry. I'm rarely on the forum. My fob does have a celluloid cover over the car image. Note that the car on your fob/pinback is identical. Maybe the pinback is not glued, but the pin was poked thru the underlying celluloid. Wonder if you could try to slide it off? The fobs are indeed rare. I've seen other pinbacks before, but your fob is the only other one I've seen besides mine. - Gary
  5. Wondering about the follow up with photos and info on the newly discovered 1911 Moyer Roadster you posted about 3 1/2 years ago?
  6. Wondering what ever happened to the follow-up photos of the newly discovered 1911 Moyer Roadster?
  7. Jim Meade - Love to see some photos! Is it similar to the one at the Watertown Newspaper office (if its still there)? Very rare indeed. Only two extant to my knowledge. I remember way back years ago when Ralph DeAngelis was selling it. Ten Moyers are extant out of about 401 built. No idea how many Babcocks were built. Here's one of my Moyers...
  8. Terry Bond, here's a Moyer Car Fob, 1912, in excellent original condition. Yes, some one apparently glued a pinback to yours. Also here's a Moyer Radiator Emblem, Pinbacks, Buttonback Moyer Car # Tag and Carriage Body Tag. Also here's the story about the "Moyer Car First Prize Herald Contest" pinback.
  9. Moyer cars, built by H. A. Moyer, Syracuse, NY first used BLITZEN Self Starters, a version of an acetylene starter from 1910 into 1913. Then Moyer announced in a supplement to their 1913 catalog called "1913 Moyer Specials" the adoption of the USL Starter/Generator mfr'd by Untited States Light & Heat Corp., Niagara Falls, NY. USL starter/generators were supplied as standard equipment on Moyer cars for the remainder of 1913 to late 1915 when the company ceased building automobiles. About 400 cars were built total. Ten Moyer cars are extant. Of those, five have USL starter/generators. The latest Moyer car extant with a Blitzen Self Starter is Car Serial # 203. The earliest Moyer car extant with a USL Starter/Generator is Car Serial # 235. Somewhere in that 32 car range, is the first Moyer car with a USL starter/generator.
  10. A page out of the 1913 Moyer car catalogue explaning the car's suspension design and why "All Roads are Level to a Moyer"...
  11. Modeleh, Graham Man is dead on. Its a 1913 Moyer 5-Passenger Touring Car. I have two. A Model D small six cylinder and a Model B four cylinder. Do you know where your friend got the photo? Would it be possible to get a hi res scan of it? I can give you my contact info, if there's a way to do it on the forum. A copy of the photo would be a great addition to the Moyer archives I maintain as the Moyer Historian and Registrar of Moyer Automobiles. The email for the registry is: HAMoyerRegistry@gmail.com Thank you!
