  1. After my mom died, I was given her Bobcat wagon, which I drove for a while. It ran pretty well most of the time, but the AC conked out at some point. I took it to gigs. One night, some a-hole poured a whole cup of coffee all over it in the parking lot. I was suitably angry, but got it washed next day. I know we sold it soon after, but I don't remember to whom or for what price. $8K seems like a LOT of money for that old firetrap.
  2. These are among my favorite cars, but I don't like them in white. Studebaker had a deep red that looked incredible on this body style.
  3. Crusher. Stick a fork in it and it's done. That car is history.
  4. I would be happy to own this car, as I'm a fan of Shell Pink, but it's not for everybody, obviously. He's had to come way down on his price. You could perhaps get it for less if you showed up with cash in hand.
  5. I was not aware that these things go for so much money. I like these old boats, but that's a LOT of money.
  6. I adore the styling on these cars. There was one for sale locally a few years ago. I took pictures of it, but they were deleted by accident. I'm a sucker for just about anything Art Deco, and these cars scream Art Deco.
  7. That's an awesome car. I think $35.5K is a lot for it though.
  8. I like these Kaisers, but that color combination is pretty awful in my eyes. So Jim, are you saying it's impossible to match colors correctly for these cars? If that's the case, I guess you have guess if you want to repaint one of them.
  9. It was Frankie's Auto Parts on Baltimore Pike.
  10. Spare me...a big gas guzzling aircraft carrier family four door sedan. I guess people like them for some reason. The owner could have at least cleaned the blue stuff off the whitewalls.
  11. These trucks make no sense to me at all. I guess they were trying to make a gussied up pickup for city slickers, with two tone paint, fins, whitewalls, and a fancy exterior, but the dashboard is bare bones all the way. As mentioned, no horn button either. The price seems ridiculous, but it's probably pretty rare.
  12. The interior is really over the top, and it's not original by any means. Too much turquoise for me. I generally like that color, but a tan interior would have been in much better taste, IMO.
  13. Here's another shot from the same junkyard.
  14. It's actually outside of Gettysburg, I think on Rt. 15. It's a man's name, something like Jack's Auto Salvage, or similar. Google it. It's mostly late model cars, trucks and campers. The old junkers were way out at the end of the property. It was like 30 degrees with a stiff wind. I was freezing out there.
  15. Looks like a '54 Chevy. The owner let me walk around and take pics a few weeks ago. Almost froze by butt off. I like the one sun ray coming through. It was late afternoon.
  16. Ya never know. I already drive a Subaru Outback, which is just about the most practical vehicle for a working drummer. Technically, I shouldn't buy another wagon! It's just the coolness factor of wowing fellow musicians with my hip vintage ride. You're right. No radiator. I wonder what else is missing? That cardboard box might contain a gas tank?
