  1. EmTee thanks for the write up. You always have something constructive to add. I think you might have motivated me to dig into and clean up and lube my passenger window that has been dragging for months.
  2. I have been unable to find replacements for the 1/4 window to roof rail portion. Let me know if you find that piece. The leading edge of 1/4 window to front window seal was easy to change on my 70 and took all of 5min each side. I haven't done the other strips as mine are good.
  3. Hopped out at the stop sign to get a pic on Riviera Cir. Wifey tolerated my antics
  4. every time I look at this thread I see something else I would love to have in my collection or on my car...
  5. I jumped out real quick to get a pic on Rivera Cir
  6. thanks for the info and suggestions everyone, I appreciate it.
  7. Well that's the problem. I went to 5 different upholstery shops locally (Arkansas) with good reviews and every one of them are booked solid for the next 6-18 months. Most were approximately a year. The one's that would give me an estimate gave me the "I have plenty of customers" prices. I'm talking $1200-1800 for the front bench and the armrest on the doors. I have taken pics of my door armrests and sent them to justdashes.com for a quote but I am sure that won't be cheap either. So I was looking at the DIY option for my front seats. But didn't see any options online from Clarks or anywhere else, was hoping someone had some tips or links. For the record my Wife 100% agrees and says I should just pick out whatever I want and get it done once and done right and cry once about what it cost.
  8. Here's pics of the brocade seats in a 1970 project I looked at here locally. I haven't seen cloth seats in any good condition Riviera's so maybe this was just old custom interior. But a bit of cloth instead of the lava that is dark vinyl in Arkansas summer heat might be nice.
  9. Those are the 2 splits in my seat that have been getting worse that I need to address.
  10. I have been looking for replacement covers for my 1970 with the Strato Bench seat with the fold down armrest in the center. So far the only supplier I have found is Distinctive Industries. Did GM put this seat in other cars like the Impala or that I can cross reference or use for search terms? I currently have the all vinyl seats but I am pretty sure there was an option for seats with brocade cloth inserts. I was hoping to find several options to recover my seat, but no luck so far. Thanks, Brian
  11. My car had Milestar MS775 in 235/75R15's when I got it, they were decent but 10 year old tires when I purchased car so no review on them. I purchased Hankook Kinergy ST in 235/75R15 to replace them and have about 6k miles on them and they are impressive for the price point but the white walls are not perfect and have some imperfections but for $110 each mounted and balanced, no complaints.
  12. my 70 used 7/16 exhaust studs the 3/8 studs I got at parts store didn't work

  14. I am going to give a set from telriv a shot and hopefully don't have to do this dance again. Thanks 1965RivGS for finding some links for me.

That is exactly the ones, and I haven't seen them either. I have found 5-6 sets for the rear but no love on the fronts so far. I was hoping someone would say, yeah these are the same as the camaro or something popular and you can get them here for $20 or something like that but it looks like rest of my battle finding parts for a 1 year only car. Just keep looking and grab everything you can find.
  17. I saw you had some for the 1st Gen cars do you have some for 2nd Gen cars? Can you post up or PM me a pic of what you have. Would totally rather spend $$ with a member than random ebay dude.
  18. Thanks, Tom. That's what the TRW ones looked like and they did not work well. The frame tore the outer to bits in just a few miles. My frame has a conical hole in it that the cone shaped bushings fit into. Best I can tell this style is 68-70 only from what I have found. I don't know if I am describing this well but the frame hole for the bushing isn't flat/flush it cones out of the frame to the front of the car about .5-.75 inch
  19. I must be blind or something, I am not finding them on their site. https://p-s-t.com/ is the site I was using.
  20. This is what I was able to find on the CARS site:
  21. I will double check but I used the FSM for looking up torque specs and I am pretty sure I had them in the correct orientation. The NOS TRW ones had me change the direction of the new washers from the original when I installed those. But a good thing to check before I slap another set on.
  22. I have been looking at their site for 20 min and can't find them for 70 Riv
  23. I was able to find a full set on CARS by using the catalog, man has that site gone down hill. It was never the easiest site to use but it is horrible now. There is no info at all about material or pics but I guess I can give it a shot.
