I saw on c/l a nice pair of spot lights for sale that were on a 41 Buick. I'm wondering how difficult they are to install on a 35 Buick and where to mount them. Thanks,Greg.

I'm restoring my 35 Buick and was wondering if any year Buick had fender trim stainless spears that would work behind the wheel openings,Just looking for something different,Thanks,Greg.

On the subject of cooling, what's the best way to clean a cooling system of possible rust and crud? Is Muratic acid safe to use? Thanks.

I see cars for sale that read no body filler so when restoring my cars fenders, ect. is it better to apply many layers of filler primer to get the panels as flat as possible or use body filler? I've been using both. Is there something other than bondo that works better. I had an old V.W. Bug that I drove by a body shop once and the guy saw the door panel and said "surf's up dude" I guess because it was kinda wavy. My dad once told me when he was a service manager for a Pontiac dealership a man came in and said his car done been ribb rubbed! I guess he meant side swiped. Thanks! And happy mother's day to any moms on this site. Greg.

I might be cheap but I like the free ones unless it goes for a good cause, like the Boy Scouts.

Thanks for the information,I just replaced the nuts and lock washers on my hood handles with stainless ones so now I'll put the old nuts back on,I'll keep the new washers though.Greg.

Thanks,I'll retain all the ones that have a B on them.

Thanks,I can see replacing radiator hose clamps with original type but fender fasteners?

Does it lessen the value of a restoration if original hardware is replaced with stainless vs.non or nyloc nuts vs. Lock washers or Phillips head screws vs. Straight slotted ones? On a 30s vehicle. I'm not sure when Phillips screws were first used but I don't think in the 30s.Thanks,Greg.

I just looked again and the bracket I thought was missing is there attached to the radiator as you said. I won't be able to access the back of the holes after I install the grille shell so I think I'll just leave it filled in and smooth.I don't know why Is need them. Greg.

There are two bolts going through the bottom of the vent that attach to the lever mechanism that's operated from the drivers side of the vent, at least that's how mine works.Thanks,Greg.
