  1. I have just placed this Huckster on EBAY https://www.ebay.com/itm/132956920239?ul_noapp=true With a "Buy It Now" price of $16,500.00 as well as the make offer feature. If you're looking for a no nonsense, needs nothing and go touring or show car circuit, this is the car. I am so convinced of this cars merits that I have included a buy it back provision. You would not be disappointed in this car, I guarantee it! The buy back provision: "Buy this car and live within 250 miles and if you are not satisfied, I'll refund your purchase price (within 15 days of your receiving car) and come and pick up the car! If you live beyond 250 miles, you will have to pay for return shipping. NO EXCEPTIONS. Car MUST be in the exact same condition as when it Left my residence."
  2. price reduced to $17,500.00 for a quick sale OBO!!! Rod
  3. I would be interested in trading for a "T" Speedster, even up, if the quality was there? Rod
  4. I'd be interested in purchasing this car, will you respond? Rod
  5. Do you have any other photos? What is the status on this car running, any issues? Can you make a video of it running? Is there a top? Would you be interested in a Model T trade? Rod
  6. Found another photo. The car will come with the bags in the back!
  7. I guess I need to put a contact number for the above car: Rod@ customfurniture.net Or Phone 541 three 45 thirtysix hundred.
  8. Magnificent built from the ground up 1926 Ford Huckster with solid Ash hardwood body all new metal work a rebuilt engine and transmission with brand new kevlar bands. Receipts for engine/transmission work are included. photos of all build as it progressed. The fit and finish of the body and metal work is second to none. Professional application of two stage paint in Hunter green is near flawless, take this car to your local show and come away with all the top honors. The craftsmanship and joinery is to die for (I know, I spent 30 years in the custom furniture business and this is all blue ribbon work. It took 2 ford engineers almost a full year to build this car. View some of the completed photos here: http://www.customfurniture.net/huckster/ This car is being offered at a very reasonable $19,950.00
  9. Yesn this car came from the Wells museum.
  10. Well all these comments are very interesting and my decision on making an offer all depends on what time of day it is. Based on everything stated in these responses, what would you guys think is a fair price to pay for this thing. As I stated above the asking price is all over the place, depending on which ad you see. Rod
  11. Great response! The car in question is the first Metz here: https://www.hcca.org/classifieds.php?cars. It also is very close in looks and description to the one listed on this site. The hcca car i'm looking at is offered at 24,000.00, it is also listed on the Robert Platt classic car site at 25,000.00. the one on this site is $32,900.00. They all are located in St Louis, and are green. I'm suspecting the same car and same seller. I first saw the HCCA car and thought to offer $22,000.00, but then thought maybe $20,000.00 would be tops. Now I'm leaning toward no more than 18,000.00. I understand all the pros and cons put forward here and am probably more concerned with his getting it prepped prior to starting it now. Decisions -- decisions?
  12. I am considering the purchase of a 1912 Metz that has been a Museum exhibit for a number of years (history is a bit sketchy). Seller claims it was last run 2 years ago, but I can't varify. He also claims car was restored in the 60's . the cosmetic appearance is outstanding. I told him that the car needed to be running and varified by video. My question is, what is the collective opinion is regarding purchase of a Museum car? Rod
  13. Jim, I'll get it in a couple of weeks. Have to wait for the transport truck to pickup a 33 Chrysler I sold to provide room for the speedster. I've got 2 other cars i'm going to sell as it gets closer to Spring. A 26 fiberglass dry lakes racer, and a 26 "T' Huckster. Rod
  14. Well I have considered all of your generous comments and went off on a completely different approach. I bought a speedster today, one that I know I can fit into and also operate the controls.😂 It is a Rajo head 1926 Model T with Ruckstell, Buffolo wheels, rocky mt brakes, and a host of period correct goodies. I've had a whole bunch of T speedsters in the 11 years but never one like this. Can you tell? I'm excited
  15. Curti, So the car above is not an original? I was puzzled about the windshield. I haven't committed or even made an offer yet, so if not original, it drastically alters my thinking. Sales site is here: https://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/ATL/215/1937-Austin-American-Boattail-Speedster
  16. You guys are fairly encouraging, thanks. the car is a 1937 Austin American Boattail Speedster, this one:
  17. I'm thinking of buying an Austin American Speedster, anyone have any idea of how large a man can comfortably fit in one of these micro cars? I'm 6' tall and 180 lbs. Car is in Georgia and I'm in Oregon, so can't check it out in person. Rod
  18. Is there a comprehensive list somewhere on this site of all past AACA award winners and their cars? I have tried searching but nothing comes up. Perhaps I'm using the wrong search terms? I think a list like this would be valuable (to me at least) when trying to verify claims by someone offering a car for sale using awards won as an incentive for the buyer. Rod
