Thanks Mudbone a fast reply. I watched the video, that's exactly what we're doing. The problem is that the spring is not sized correctly. That's why I asked for the exact dimensions, to get the right one. Where can I look up the correct parameters? Where can I get the original one?

Hi, I need the parameters for the oil filter spring on the oil valve bypass on the 1955 Buick 264 engine, as it does not appear to be original at this time.
