The asking price is well above my comfort level but can't argue with the marketing strategy.

Agree John , Great sign , but would have to remove the last zero from price to be anywhere near my comfort level ?

  2. Morning folks

Extremely hot day here in Cyprus yesterday 43 (110) in the shade so probably 50 in sun. Didn't venture out with my bright red Buick.

As I have lived in Uk most of my life , heatwave is infrequent and usually lower 30s so car in sun rarely a problem and haven't had a red car for 30 years , so no experience of this sort of heat.

Took Ruby to local village this morning and temperatures heading same way , out for about 90 mins , wondered if she should be covered when parked up . Have you folks who live in hot parts of states noticed any damage caused by sun , particularly any effect on bright colours and interior on convertibles. Also what precautions do you take?

i have a car port so usually out of sun , thinking of buying a cover,  but would feel a bit silly putting a cover on at restaurant when stopping for lunch , but if necessary will, or should I only drive after sunset or cloudy days.

    cheers

There were rumors in middle school he had removed a pair of ribs to do questionable things... come to find out years later it wasn't true.

Perhaps I've led a sheltered life and I'm a bit  nieve , but I can't imagine any benefit , probably best not to. ?

    "...she sent 'black' " ???

Obviously didn't have my specks on , I also have a nightmare with my phone with predicted text  changing what I want say , if I'm not very careful . Have sent some peculiar messages , thankfully friends and family , think I'm mad anyway.?

    Sure!

Just let me be clear, this is NOT my sister.

She is very good in art restoration and photo restoration so can do virtually anything you need done with photographs old or new.

Just as well your wife  knows your sister sent it, if she found it without that knowledge , bingo , your on the couch !

So this one is a laugh!

I have a sister that is "in the arts" and upon insistence of my brother-in law (a great guy!) thought the picture was missing something when I sent the original to them.

So, this is what she sent back to me.....

As my youngest son said when we went to Disney World and were riding on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, " 'at not weal' ".

"This is what she sent back " can she send me one to ??

I don't have a big nose. And I sure don't let chickens sit on it!

If you repeat what I wrote above, please enunciate!

Apologies was only pulling your leg, Must be the sleek lines then , and I also wouldn't let chickens sit on that lovely car either.

  8. Riv nut , I am biased because I love the red Electra , but think photo would still work with the girl in red or white also, regarding skin for me photo just about right , prefer to keep some mystery ?

Regarding the photo with creams and browns , appreciate the composition and the 50s look of the model , good photo but feel  muted colours will always draw less attention than bright ones .

It's sure easy to tell when professional photographers, professional models, and professional fashion designers put all of their efforts into one package.  Brown, cream, and red in everything in the picture.

Yes but still the Electra and girl in blue , grab your attention and win hands down in my book ?

  10. Hi guys , as I have the above mentioned 56 century in my watch list, could you tell me the where this fits in the Buick range for that year as there is also a very nice 56  riviera for sale on eBay currently about same money and wonder how they compare equipment spec etc. I know the century was a more powerful car than standard , but little else.

    cheers
