On the 40 series I'm not sure but if it's like the 80 series. The front drum is held on the hub with rivets. One of the rivets is a rim locator.

I'm a new owner of a 1936 Roadmaster 80C and when I bought her I thought the Grill Emblem looked Ok. But after some research I found it suppose to be Chrome and Red Cloisonné Enamel not Brass and Red Enamel. The Red Cloisonné Enamel looks great but the Chrome is gone. The question is Can it be Rechromed with out ruling the Enamel. Or does anyone have one I could buy I would want Show grade or NOS.

Yes you are correct I went to a Industrial Bearing Supplier Wednesday ! They were able to get the part for me in yesterday and it was the " New Departure " in a nother Brand Box ! So this taught me to think outside the BOX ! Thanks Guys Bud Ensor
