no what you have got in photo is for the 1937 dodge on the 38 dodge it is similar to the boot stay where you lift and then lower down .on the 38 the stays are attached one end to the bulk head and the other to the half of the bonnet -

still looking for a couple of bonnet stays these stop the hinges being strained -

Dave I beleave it fits inside at the top and is attached to the bonnet and stops the half bonnet from going over half way and straining the hinges....abit like the boot stay -
Looking forward to a photo of the bonnet stay or if some one has a couple I would very much like to purchess ......John

Yes that is correct but missing the small pan in front would you have a photo for me to see...John

what I cant work out is what diferance dost make as the motor could have come out of a truck or visa versa eather carb with a service kit should work .Ihave a bb1 carb and works 100%

Ok here we go first of all its a 4 door Sedan .with a boot lid that has a hump at the back not the slooping back boot lid .The housing I am after has a clearglass and a red tapered glass with dodge inlayed im after the metal part .....hope this helps its for a 1938 dodge that came out of Canada -

Would like to purchess a new spring for the above manifold heat choke .when leaver is up it heats the carb and horozental for exhaust flow . could one be made .What are your thoughts ....John:confused:

Rusty me boy seeing that you are full of knowledge you should be able to tell me what grade of oil to refill in the tubular shocks

.Not quit sure as regards one type of carbs as you say for trucks or cars using another type .where the motors could be identical .Regards John
