  1. I do love this car! It's my daily and will be in HPOF next year. I have the towing package, but she still boogies along nicely!!! I've said to my husband more then once, I'm so glad I got this car!!!!
  2. I don't think the Wagon came with an option for Impalla SS wheels. 😕 And on my woodie, I think they'd look funny!!!
  3. Hi all! My new (to me) 1995 Chevy Caprice Classic wagon has beautiful (insert sarcasm here) wire wheel hubcaps and while I loathe them, I of course have to keep them on the car as there wasn't another wheel option for this year... But, to keep them on, I want them to look as good as possible... what do you use on your hubcaps to get them and keep them clean? I bought a long handled soft brush that is bendable, but I need a good cleaning substance, something that sprays in and does a decent job of getting rid of the road grime and break dust.
  4. Yes thank you! Took another week after th trip but good now. HUGE variety of vehicles!!!
  5. While my car won't be an antique until next year, I just received my vanity plate and I think it fits my car perfectly!!!
  6. It puts a smile on my face when i'm going through someone else's photos and find my truck I hope to do the Tour again in 2021
  7. I guess you see that we saw the car!! lol My husband is an Olds guy, so I know he took this pic
  8. Oh yes! Everyone was aware and diligent in keeping an eye on each other's vehicles. Very sad. One man got a rental car for the rest of the tour:
  9. I know most of us prefer original/stock vehicles, but there sure was a wonderful collection of everything on the Hot Rod Power Tour. This is the first time Joel and I have participated as Long Haulers (those who traveled all 7 cities in 7 days) and we had the time of our lives! I drove my 1990 454SS pickup and she performed flawlessly! I, however, was very sick 7 of the 9 days of our vacation, but I was ok with that, cause we weren't stuck anywhere fixing my truck and could keep moving. For those who are interested, here are photos of each of the 7 day Tour, plus our extra stay in Milan/Sandusky. 13. We had a great time in Charlotte! Enjoyed seeing everyone, I had a great judging team - as always - and the weather couldn't have been much better! Here are our photos, thanks to Joel! https://photos.app.goo.gl/N49ewtPhs5269NW76

  15. Betcha can't guess what this was on? Still have the plate in the garage.
  16. Thanks again!! Bernie & Frank - thanks for so much great info to watch out for. This is new territory as this is VERY different from the Burb and my 454SS Rock Auto has already gotten a few hundred in parts orders so far lol I know there will be more!
  17. Thanks everyone! I really can't wait to driver her... And Terry... if I had my way, one of those beauties would be mine!!!
  18. Hello! I wanted to share my new-to-me car. After selling my Suburban back in September, I've been looking for a station wagon... Preferably one 1970-1995, big block, bucket seats, not blue, and preferably GM (although I didn't say this out loud). I can't tell you how many cars I've looked at in that time! However, none really "spoke" to me, nor kept me thinking about it. I first looked at this on in the beginning of December - she's a 1995. While this one is blue, it doesn't have a BBC - but it does have an LT1 - nor does it have bucket seats (it has a split bench), it's in pretty good shape and bought from the original owner. There's been no modifications, mileage is around 114,000 miles and it's been sitting for a few years. We've already bought a few things, ordered a bunch of parts and will get started getting her running. Now I know this is not what most of you would pick up, this works for me as it needs to be my daily driver as well as my AACA car and I think this will work well in HPOF! If you have owned one and have anything you'd like to share about what to look for/watch out for, what was good or bad, please feel free to share. She won't be on the showfield this year obviously, but look for her in 2020!!
  19. I'm sorry I never got to see you Saturday My knees were really not in good shape and I was Chassis judge lol
