John has done some great work on my 1928 Chrysler dash instruments in the resent past. I have not been able to reach him at his business location since before the holidays. The phone message is "there is no one here to accept your call". ???

Yes, had this problem too. However anything worth more than $100 gets insurance so if it does not get there the USPS, UPS or FedEx has to eat it, not me.

This is a previous post I made on this topic:

I may have found one old parts master pre1939chrysle.....

Rather than looking for a NOS 6 volt cable for this application would it not be possible to buy a battery terminal and a 1 AWG battery cable and make the starter cable? The ground cable as a copper strap or braided type from a Model A Ford being a 6 volt type should work.

It may, does it have the same dimensions as what I posted in the photos above?

I know someone has one of these sitting in a box of stuff somewhere, they are not that uncommon. Please take a look.

If I remember correctly I found it on Ebay. I think Jay may have some.

I picked up a Gates Vulco #716 belt for my Model 72.

I posted something previously about the removal of a Fedco plate because it was bent by someone in the last 95 years. I now believe I can apply a glue or of some type underneath the bent portion and clamp it tightly to force the bend down without having to remove it. Suggestions on the best adhesive for this job.

TerryB, thank you so much. This photo is in my library right side up but when I import it to here it comes in upside down. Oh and it is a touring car....

Much said back in 2022, now that I'm assured I can legally proceed can someone please advise how they successfully removed the Fedco plate from a Chrysler dash? What is the configuration of the two lugs recessed in the rectangle plate on the back of the dash? The Fedco tag itself can't be that delicate if someone previously tried to pry it off (see photo) and succeeded in bending it without it breaking.

A thousand pardons Effendi! I may have posted in error.

Mark, pardon my naivety but what exactly is Green soap?

I was most fortunate to find a good radiator for my roadster restoration. It is a honeycomb diamond type and it does not leak. What would be the least offensive product I could use with water for a good cleaning with no pressure.
