Unless you have some sentimental reason to want this Plymouth, I can't see that most people who want to drive an older car would be attracted to a drab, low powered 4-door sedan. I'm sure a brighter color would have attracted more interest despite it's mundane appearance, not that the owner would do any changes.
Ho-hum cars usually go to ho-hum buyers or the price is reduced to the point some flipper is attracted and thinks there's a profit to be made. Maybe this is a flip from a $1500 estate sale.
Well, call me a ho-hum buyer then.

Nice car says the obviously biased reader. I wonder what work is needed? Still unless there is a major problem the price is on the money. Better pictures would be good as although I have pretty good night vision it is not good enough to interpret shady photos.

After all look what happened to E Bay motors. Ads sit for months without a bid. Starting bids of $5000 are not uncommon. Even for complete junk.

Price is high to me but I am not the local early 50’s Chevy expert.

I do pretty much the same thing just freestyle.

I suppose it might be worth a couple of grand but I would need to take a good personal look before committing more than $1000. Even that might be high as it is a somewhat limited interest auto.

Pricing is optimistic, IMHO. Probably also has a non-running 221 V8, which is a wheezer at best. At least the dashboard looks pretty good.

Always the optimist.

Two questions. Are the hubcaps extra? Since they are in some pics and not in others. And does the rear end look saggy to anybody else? Looks like the springs are tired. Otherwise looks pretty nice.

I would imagine so. Lots of parts are available for discontinued cars and trucks. As far as a mechanic you will just have to check with the shops in your area. After all, it’s not really that old so I suspect most reputable mechanics can work on it.

Actually. I have a better one than that. And I promised my dad I would restore it before I die. Sigh...
So now you have to make it to the next millennium?

Looks like more of a second career than a project. And don’t forget the small fortune either. You will need it.

It’s nice but definitely not $8000 worth of nice.
-
And here I was gonna say that price is a bit much for “lawn art”. 😁

In my opinion it is worth $3000-$4000 depending on what other surprises there are. I like this style of Valiants and its cousin the Lancer but thus one is a four door and an automatic both of which are negatives for me on this car. A two door with a225 and a manual on the other hand…

Maybe one day evolution will help weed out such over-masculine insecurities. We're all some shade of pink on the inside....
It’s not the idea of pink that bothers me now or much then. Just the grief anticipated if I post it.

I had a 327 in a 61 Ambassador. Great reliable engine. Good power for it’s size. Pretty car but too rich for me.

I agree with John. The more I looked at it the worse it got.

The color would not be my first choice, but I sure do like the condition of this car. The interior looks great and the exterior looks nice as well. GLWTS
When I was young we had a name for that and similar colors like it. Sadly decorum and Peter will preclude me saying exactly what it was.

It is pretty but do I see a couple of colors in picture number four? Front clip lighter. Unless it’s just the Sun shine.

I was 8 years old in 1981, and would not have paid any attention to this 4x4 Gremlin. I do not ever remember seeing one?
