It looks better than I expected.

I am not familiar with how the DeSoto brake is connected. But if you post your question here you might get an informative answer. Apparently it won’t copy so do a Google search for P15-D25.com and it should be high on the list.

Or the mandatory wood block behind the tire.

Another nice one. Oh for a bigger car budget and a double sized garage.

Very interesting. I actually used a spray can of chrome color to do the front bumper override pieces on my 1952 Plymouth years ago and while not up to actual chrome work it has held up well. This looks like a realistic option. If it holds up over time.

I believe there is a TC sub forum lower on the forum listings. You might want to post there especially if it is a TC style problem.

You might want to repost this in the general discussion area. This section doesn’t get anywhere near as much traffic. My late Mother in Law had one back in the 80’s similar to it but thats all I know about them.

Sounds like you might be able to purchase this for in the neighborhood of $5000-5500.

Ordered with all the right stuff for sure! Nice Nice! My last 2 GT Hawk's were 63's. Virtually same car except the trunk lid. They were very hard to sell and finally ended up losing money on both.
And here I was thinking that this auction would go through the roof. I know I would love to own it.

If you lived near enough to it to drag it home yourself it would be hard to lose out. Even if you give it up as unfixable you could still get your money back from parts.

In the 70’s a friend of mine’s Father in Law had one. For a time during a garage renovation it lived in my friend’s garage. I was surprised by how small it was and relatively plain looking. I knew what it was of course but still at the time I wasn’t really impressed.

That “car” reminds me of a Kruse auction I attended in the mid 1980’s where the main tent had a pile of parts in similar condition. Apparently a rare sports car from the mid 1930’s. The owner turned down an offer of $60,000 US and as far as I knew toted it back home. I thought at the time it was a $100 parts car.

It is nice but in its current condition I think the price is a few thousand dollars too high.

One of my first real cars was a 1966 Fury III with a 383 but with a four speed. Very much like this one but blue with a blue interior. Memories sort of.

This is exactly the type of thing to get the “Man who has everything”. Although what you do with it after that is beyond me.

You would have to live close to this one for it to make any sense to buy at all.

$41,500 is more than $29,500. And a lot more money. Pretty car though.

Might be ok at $4500-5000. If it runs well and has no obvious issues. In town runabout.
