  1. When I had just started driving in 1966 my Dad had one exactly like that except it was a dark green color.  He only had it a few years and I don’t remember if he killed the engine like so many others or what.  I drove it on Saturdays to take my Mom on her weekly grocery trip.(A job my Dad hated to do). One early Saturday morning I did find out it would do 98 MPH but like many things, that is another story.

  2. Other than an occasional spot the last time I used POR-15 was about 20 years ago. I followed the directions exactly and haven’t Seen any recurring rust.  My cars live in the garage so unless I am driving one they get minimal direct sun.  In other areas I had success removing wet POR-15 using regular lacquer thinner. Just don’t wait too long. And I have a quart that I bought maybe 10 years ago that I used part of. I followed the suggestion of placing a piece of plastic wrap between the lid and the can when I closed it up and when shaken now long ago the can sloshed.  When I watched the video I posted I was surprised to see that POR-15 did not do as well as I would have thought. I had read that the company changed hands several years ago and the formula was cheapened down. My days doing big rust projects are in the past so this is academic to me now.

Scant information. Does it run? Why are people so lazy about listings?

I think many of them really have no clue what folks who really shop for old cars are looking at when they do. Modern car shoppers seem to look for a pretty vehicle with all kinds of electronics. Maybe the sellers think a nice picture and of course at least some modernization is all that’s required. And of course converted to 12 volts.😹

I personally like the round abouts.  They keep traffic moving.  The one caveat is the number of persons that have no idea how to approach them and drive through them.  It makes you wonder if they can drive normally.

And inevitably those who play “chicken” like on other roads.
