  1. Well guys I have had a 1932 Buick 57S for over 50 years and it is an overhead valve 8 cylinder motor. I am the second owner and purchased it from an Estate in Boston MA and when I did that the Dealership that originally sold the car was still in business and called Noise Buick. I still have this car and it is one of twelve in my collection and it is totally original and it has never been restored - just well maintained.
  2. Hi Pete - thanks for your phone call and I have sent you a check for the 1932 Buick 57S Exhaust Manifold and it went into the mail today, 12-26-2018 at about 1:30 PM. Please let me know when you have received it. If for some reason I did not put in enough money for the shipping - just let me know and I will send it to you. I have found that using the Post Office Priority Mail Boxes is the most reasonable price for shipping and they insure and guarantee quick shipping ( I think it is three day). I also added some pictures of my other cars that are in my private museum/storage building. My daughter Heidi grew up in the 1932 Buick and she will eventually inherit the Buick so I want to make sure that it is in good running order. Her 40th Birthday is coming up and she will want to drive it again to the party we are having for her. This car has been absolutely amazing and still runs like a brand new car. It always amazes me that even after it sits for a month or more in my museum/storage bldg. and I go to start it - it turns over and starts just after two or three turns and runs! It is always ready to go for a drive. My daughter has given me two grandkids - a girl Annika now 9 years old and a boy Cyrus who is 7 years old and they also have grown up in the 32 Buick and we always have to go for a ride when they come to visit us. I taught her how to drive the 1926 Model T Ford Roadster Pick and she loved it and got real good at it. Then I upgraded her to the 1930 Model A Speedster and we two had a lot of fun in that car but the best was when she started to drive the 1932 Buick and my wife and I rode in the back and she was the chauffer - she loved that very much! I have earned more glasses of Wine at the shows we have at the Wineries here in California. I tell people that the engine idles so slow and smooth that a full glass of Wine will sit on the Valve cover and will not fall off or split and they bring a glass of Wine and they want to see it. I start the engine, slow done the idle and let it run slow and smooth and the glass just stays there and the wine just wiggles a little . After a few minutes I take the wine and taste it and it is good. Then they finally realize what I am doing and they do it again. That is when Heidi drives the Buick because I have had to much Wine!!!! Thanks for your help - Gert
  3. Pete Phillips - Thank you for the response and I am interested but am presently on my way to take my wife to a Doctors appointment but will call you sometime this afternoon and talk to you about it. I would also first like to go take the measurements to make sure it is the measurements you give in the photo. I am positive mine is the 57S - so it should be the same. Again Thanks - want to get this baby running again without the exhaust noise! Gert Gehlhaar, Cell is 805-598-9485 Lompoc, CA 93436
  4. I am looking of a good exhaust manifold for my original 1932 Buick 57S. I purchased this car while assigned to Hanscom Field Air Force Base from at an Estate Sale. I am the second owner and have had the car some 50 years. At the time I purchased the vehicle the original Dealer, Noise Buick of Boston, was still in business. About 10 years ago had to have the exhaust manifold welded due to cracks that had developed. The welder did a great job and it has lasted another 10 years. I want to see if I can find a exhaust manifold that has no cracks and does not leak. If anyone can help me with this please call me at 805-598-9485 and my ZIP is 93436.
  5. I am sorry but I cannot help your with this for your car because my Buick is completely original 32 Buick 57S. I purchased it from an Estate in Boston MA and I am the second owner. The car was originally purchased from Noise Buick of Boston and it was still in business when I purchased this wonderful car. It still runs like a brand new car and is smooth as silk.
  6. Sorry but I do not have anything like that - I am sure the ones on my 1932 Buick 57S are different - these wire wheels do not have those snap rings. But I am looking for and exhaust manifold for my 1932 Buick engine. Over ten years ago, mine cracked and I had it welded and now it is cracking again. I am the second owner of this car and purchased it way back in the early 70's from an estate in Boston, MA - so I am the second owner. It was originally purchased from Noise Buick of Boston and they were still in business when I purchased the car. It is totally original and has just been well maintained with a little over 109,000 miles on it. To this day it runs as smooth as glass and performs well on the highway. If you have any leads for an exhaust manifold for the 32 Buick 57S Engine I would greatly appreciate it. Gert U. 8. Sorry I do not have a rod for your but it sure looks exactly like the one on my 1932 Buick 57S. Matter of fact the whold carb which looks like the Marvel type looks the same as on my 32. After 40 plus years I finally just had to rebuild and clean the carb. Found two of the six jets clogged. Now it starts and runs like brand new again. Good luck with finding the rod. Gert
