  3. Although your question is to another post I will add my grandfather was a school teacher in New York. We have the car and it has 107,000 miles. I have had it 42 years and it still retails it's original paint, interior, and engine. Somehow it made it through my high school years! It is a VCCA HPOCF and runs great.
  4. My grandfather paid $770 for his Master Deluxe Chevrolet Sport Sedan.
  5. Doc, sent you a private message on the carter rjh 08. 150s you seek. Dave
  6. A 30 Chevy, if original, would have a carter updraft carb. Chevy switched to downdraft in 32 so a 36 would not work if you have an updraft manifold. Dave
  7. Doc, I have several early used chevy gas tanks in a range of conditions. Where are you located, are minor dents a concern, and do you still have the original tank so you can measure sender position? Send me a pm if you are interested in a used tank. Dave
  8. Magnus, Hard to say how many are left but the guys at VCCA might help. I would join that club as soon as possible, I wish I knew about it years ago. There were a few of models with lower production which are harder to find. It is a great looking car when finished and from what I hear very fun to drive. Some parts are very difficult to find, like the windshield frame so be careful with those. Dave
  9. Magnus, I am also restoring a 31 Chevrolet Cabriolet. The job number of 31568 is for the Cabriolet model. Mine is also the same trim and paint code. I second Landman's recommendation on the VCCA, a wealth of information to help with your project. Good luck! Dave
  10. Very interesting, thanks for posting.
  11. Looks like fun! Another good organization to check out is The Vintage Chevrolet Club. They have a forum/chat site at VCCA.org. Good luck! Dave
  12. United Motors Service (UMS) has evolved over the years from UMS to United Delco and is still part of GM as ACDelco.
