Stian,
The seller bought a large hord of Packard parts, had some Buick as well. Here is his selling id 19fatboy66 (6965)

When I go to switch out the heat risers will it be obvious how to block it off? I read in another post some use freeze or casting plugs.
Thanks
Dave

I found the same heat riser on e-bay, it was perfect but expensive.
-
Yes it was chrome, I would appreciate the name.
Thanks

I thought the op was asking what the top was in the ebay offering that is being called a 29 roadster top. I am just pointing out it visually matches a 31 Chevy Cabriolet top. I am making no claims that it would work on a 94 series Buick but if the op gets the measurements I suggested he would find that out for sure.

John, Thanks for the advice. It's too late I found the kits for the small wipers at the Ford supplier Snyder's. I am going to give it a shot. Curti, I have heard bad things about plating them. I am going to try buffing or perhaps some type of paint. I had some of the small metal covers plated without issue.
Thanks
Dave

Yes that is true but didn't Olds call their Cabriolet a roadster? Many confuse the terms but the top does match (as best as you can tell without measurements) my Fisher bodied Cabriolet.

You will need to get him to measure it across where the top fits on the latch posts. Fisher body probably used the same top design on many cars. This one looks just like my 31 Chevy Cabriolet top which had a couple of different id numbers under the wood of the middle bow.

I went to the shop and smelled my bottle of fluid and it has no distinct odor. A gentlemen on the Buick forum gave me the liquid, it is very old Sun Electric manometer fluid.
It may be your liquid? You might try calling another source like Bob's Buick parts and ask?
Dave
Here is another source I just thought of http://www.classicandexotic.com/store/c-85-king-seeley-hobson-fuel-gauge.aspx

I replaced very old bias on my 39 Chevy with bias and it was a significant improvement just going from old to new. The car drives, rides and stops fine. It is HPOCF with 106k so I don't push it very hard.

Phil, Many of the cars listed on this site will show turning radius, your 35 is 22' 3" , both ways.
Of course it is GM only.

I have bought 3 harness from Y n Z and they have been excellent. They cheerfully answer any questions you may have but the instructions and wire markings make it so you do not need to ask many.

Dallas Plating in Dallas, GA was recommended to me by the local club. They seem to do good work in a reasonable amount of time.

Years ago Delco offered new plates and parts and the battery case could be reused.
In recent history many times the "rebuilt" battery is one that was not really bad but ended up as a core or warranty. Once charged, tested, and cleaned up it became "rebuilt".
I am very skeptical on the EZ claims, but I have not seen the information, as all these type fixes in the past have proven very short term or of no value.
It sounds like your friend needs new batteries if all the connections are clean and tight.

There should be a number cast into the other side that would help. Many Buicks used them and it is similar to a 30 but I may be remembering wrong.

Old Car,
Who sells the kits? Or gaskets? That would be a big help.
Thanks

Where is it?

The first two posts are old but I may have a visor. I have two different old Chevy visors but will need your measurements. If close I can send photos via email or text.

Midman, do you have wire wheels?
-
It depends on the type wheel/hub the op has. I don't see how the above would work on my 31 Buick , 66s, with wood artillery wheels but I may be missing something.

1522995 was a Dodge/Chrysler family pump, 36-41, so the top cover might be a later part number for that pump. As you know the early top covers were very fragile and many were replace with what was at hand. If I find something I will let you know.
Dave
-
Jay, I looked through my 42 AC book which breaks down each pump into individual parts. I could not find your top cover number. Is it possible it has been misread?
The bottom cover is very common to all B and O type pumps.

My 1942 AC book shows pump number 1521854 with an exchange (or short number) of 423. It does not call out engine size only 40 series.

Heat raiser and headlights for '31 Buick
in Buick - Pre War

Thanks for the info. The 31 is different in that it uses two pipes, inner and outer, between the heat riser and the butterfly.
Thanks again
