  2. hay tor otto ,tomoro i will dig out the head ,send you pics ,it is a good all original stock head never worked on,i bought a lot of parts in oregon, do need to sell it for what it is worth ,i am sure we can work out a price ,or make me a fair offer ,you pay the shipping
  3. are you having any luck finding a head, i do have a spare if mine failed but all seems fine,it would need to be checked proffesially before shipping ,and you area long way from vancouver canada
  4. i have org rubber on my 32 maglauglin,it is different than bobs pic also
  5. on my 32 the crossmember under the trany is rivitet in and a torgue tube no driveshaft,two big problems,only one way undo the rear u bolts slide back the rearend drop the trany ,two web slings,they are strong and dont damage any thing,take the motor out complete,in and out in a day
  6. i just put one in a 32,2 8 foot web slings and 2 shakles worked great ,had to take out steering and leave trans behind

  9. :pcant find info on how thick the front motor mounts should be on a 1932 57s ,bobs dose not sell any ,yet there must be something,any thoughts ,i posted the motor running on a stand on u tube ,search 32 buick ray koreman ,thanks for all the help to get it to that point,still need a little more.
  10. i used wood glue and sawdust to put the pieces back together then redid them in ash .all sides will need a patern. the front door posts are the hardest part.i have one old sill for a patern if stuk my wood is stll vewable before interior goes in
  11. just did the wood in the front half of mine it is a lot of work,you have to open up the steel,how bad is it?
  12. pigment is expensive old cars were pure black,but now it looks brown or blue or gray side by side in the sun,water born blue base clear brown,they dont make true black,to expensive
  13. i guess to rebuild a oil bath air cleaner on a 32 you have to grind the first flare open? seems like i am wrong but i thought i would through it out there
  14. thanks again bob ,but my heat riser is the big problem now ,it was so bad had to make some releif cuts in it to get all the rust out not much left ,managd to tack it back togther ,he base welded well but the jacket i could just tac now now my plan is to hot tank it ,fill it with copper and machine it out ,wish me luck ,looked for one long enough

  16. thanks john,would just like to drive this car for now but but most of it is mint no rust no damage it had spun a con rod early in the 50s and was parked ,for now i just want to drive it, but in the end i do want all the stuff to work,i will always be looking for some parts,that`s fun,even if i have a few extra to share at the end
  17. thanks bob,eliminating the wizard and the heat riser ,takes a lot of worry off,i think the reason i could not find the linkage they were both probably disconected in the 50s ,what is your thoughts on recharging the shutter control and the brass rivits for the louvers,also need the choke flute,dont think anyone will weld cast aluminum
  18. boy you guys are great, now i have alot more information to process ,have been going hard on it on the weekends till i hit a wall ,hoping to get one motor running on a stand i have two,not a lot of these cars in vancouver canada area,it is a mclaughlin but i find all the parts in the usa ,this site has saved me thanks again

  21. hay Bob after 20 years 3 moves and a partner in the car a box of parts has gone missing ,the looks great i just want to drive it, i got the starter from you so the missing parts all from that area ,now it looks like i need the vacume control and pedal plus linkage, have all on the tran but the last conecter link
  22. really could use some pics of the linkage by the starter and the trany linkage must be missing some rods also if any are around let me know

  24. i see two on a front axle in my shop ,but i would rather barter,what do you have extra on,i sure need carb,parts
