  2. need to find a replacement before i put the motor back in is this used in more applications ,funny little things seem like the bigist problems ,oh ,for a 32 50
  3. your eletric pump should be used for starting only ,if it dont start right away all the fuel you have sucked up the intake by cranking the engine over will fall back down ,i would worry why it dont start right away
  4. dont think that will work ,the cross member under the trany will not give enough clearance,take two bottom tran bolts out put two longer ones in to slide the tran back on ,need to protect that spline,soner or later you are going to take the tany off ,these cars were built as a rolling chasis,
  5. on my 32 the crossmember is cold rivited so not a option ,i have just built a motor and to put it in clean i will undo the rearend brakes and ubolts to drop the torgue tube then you can slide trany back and down with out the shifter ,all my floor boards and pedaels have to go also ,then the steering colum ,and rad ,its a whack of work but ,to try lift the body ,up high enough ,plus to try and line up the tranny spline when it goes back in is a real bear,2 cents

  10. yes i think roding it would have been so much easier ,but the car was to clean,and i am getting older and love the history of a car,when i wasyounger it did that to old chevy trucks ,this is diferent
  11. looks like a complete set minus 3 sill plates ,dont want to beak up ,need to look around the shop somemore and take pics of them ,but if 31 is diferent they wont work,can post some old door pics

  16. hay all i am Ray ,read the forum daily but dont often post ,i have learned so much on this site and find the storeys and pics quite entertianing .i m in vancouver canada building a 32 57s maglauglin need to build a moter to finish this car
  17. on my 32 they are made of 3 pieces of 3/4 ash on the top the front edge has a 1/2strip under it and on the out rigger mounts the hard part is the router on the front have a few old ones can send pics of

  19. i bought a lot of parts in it was two running board clamp on tire pumps ,where these an accesery or oem,32 buick
  20. i cut my oil cooler saving thebase plate and threaded fittings and home depot had1/2 inch copper 90s and soldered it in worked exe lent and there is a product called devcon hvac repair like a super jb weld machinable you can fix any holes or cracks with that stuff ,not cheap but worth it,just saying
  21. my motor was seized pior to me buying it and the other guys cranked it so hard it broke the oil pump gears at cam seems the oil pump is the first thing to lockup ,just saying
  22. when i purchased these parts the doors were labled 56c but they look the same as my 57s
