Nice looking car. GLWTS

IMO when you go off the grid when you choose a color that is this unusual, it hurts the resale value of the of the car. I would advise the seller to possibly point out that this was a factory color of that year (if it was). This might help your sale. Best to do a little research on the available colors for Chev's of the '40s. Another thing that may hurt the sale is the painted bumpers. GLWTS

I magnified the image of the upholstery and your pic looks like a negative of what is on the car. It has a light background, with what appears to be leaves or a web design, but I have been wrong before.

Interior looks like it has been the home to many mice. I would bet that the smell is awful. Seems like a large project but would be beautiful when done.

I agree with bryankzmer on the interior. This year 400 has some of the best interior IMO, but this one looks a bit off. Close, but not quite right. The '55 and '56 are the best looking Packards inside and out IMO. Very nice looking car. GLWTS

Remove all Chevrolet ID and replace with Cadillac emblems and the ask might be close. No matter how much money you put into a car, the ceiling does not change. I think 20K for a very nice Chevrolet sedan is about right. Did he leave the fuzzy dice in his other car?

Absolutely stunning car in my opinion. That said, I have been a fan of the '41 Cadillac coupe for a long time, but I am not a guy who falls head over heels for convertible cars. So, I would pass on this car, but sure looks nice.
Also, IMO the red color of this car would not be my first choice, something more stately rather than flashy would be more to my taste. I have seen this car in a dark brown metallic and it was absolutely beautiful. GLWTS

I really like this year Mercury, but the continental kit? Not so much. The addition or two taillights, don't understand why they are necessary. GLWTS

Very nice-looking car. The color is attractive, not sure if this is original, but either way, it still looks good. Not a big fan of the continental kit, but this one is not a porch that you could set your lawn chair on. GLWTS

Nice model but it will cost a lot of money and work to restore it.
Could that be a Ford Capri in the background?
I agree, I believe that you could be close to 70K to restore this. many one-off parts and the paint alone, done right could be 35K (can't cut corners here) plus replacing any panels will add up. Add interior, chrome and don't forget wiring front to back and that is the short list. These are nice cars when finished, but what could you buy for 100K? Maybe one that is finished, and you don't have the build to contend with.

I can't remember ever seeing one of these woodies, but I sure do like it. GLWTS

Another over-priced, base, 12 to 14 mpg, 4-door sedan. Are there lots of buyers out there for similar cars?
They sure seem to be proliferating.
My absolute favorite year and GM car, but front seat interior is shot and the manual trans makes me cross this off my list. If the car has lived it's entire life in a dry California, this would be tempting, as the colors are attractive and IMO this was the best styled car in 1957. Base car with crank windows and manual trans kills it for me.

I think that the interior looks good, but probably not correct. The Red and Black detracts from the wood which should be the star on the exterior. Seems like a fair price.

Put those dollar numbers on a dart board and throw the dart blindfolded. That is the only way you could come up with this number. Normally I would say good luck with the sale, but not at this price.

Great looking car at a reasonable price. I would keep up on maintenance and keep it as is. GLWTS

I believe that this was the first year of the small Fairlanes that ran from 1962 through 1965. My sisters first car was a '64 Sport Coupe (very nice). Not a car that you see every day. A close inspection would be necessary for rust but might be a nice entry level project.

Best year for all GM products IMO. Great choice of colors in the two tone paint. The only negative for me would be the wire wheels, as I am a bit lazy and cleaning those on a regular basis would be a tedious job. That said the wires do look great on this car. GLWTS

I am a big fan of the '41 Cadillac ever since I saw a metallic Brown Coupe at "The All GM Car Show" in Los Angeles put on by the LA chapter of the BCA. Fabulous styling on this year Cadillac IMO. GLWTS

Absolutely stunning car, I love everything about it. Color, interior, engine bay, everything looks gorgeous to me.

Seems reasonably priced for what it is. I like it. GLWTS

I really like the style of these Fleetline's, but the ad states that everything is original, and the paint sure looks like it. I just can't see 28K of value in this car. I believe that 20K would be optimistic. GLWTS

Great of example of making a car "your own" When you choose to paint a car this color, you are saying that I am either going to keep this car till I die, or take a real hair cut on the sale of this car. Should have chosen a sunny day to push the car outside to take some better pictures IMO. GLWTS

Beautiful style on this Dodge and I do love the fins, but the interior and the engine compartment are a real let down. I think that a little extra work could have made this sale more attractive. GLWTS

Nice looking car and it appears to be well taken care of. This would not be my first choice in color, but that said, seems like a fair price.

I have seen very nice Super convertibles listed for that price that did not sell very fast. This is a four-passenger car whereas the Super is a six-passenger car. Nice looking, but.....
