  1. … Making some progress, my grandson and me went to a large Truck Show and had him carrying the load (see photo) it attracted a lot of attention. I got some names and phone numbers from some good ol-boys that are going to go through their parts piles. Great bunch of guys, one was a 1930s Long Haul Trucker and he said my 150lb Air Pressure Gauge was from the mid-30s era. He remembers that time well because Air Brakes were a welcome new feature for truckers. Through a series of story’s he told us what it was like to stop a Heavy Rig on a downhill mountain pass prior to air brakes. He also remembers that casting assembly and given some time he might be able to name it. So bottom line, these Gauges were commonly available in Big Rigs. It was a good day and my grandson who was all ears got to hear firsthand stories from a bygone era, friendly guys that helped pave the way. PS: I found another 1920s -30s Dash that takes the 2 3/8’ and 2 7/8’’ Gauges It also needs ID. It is posted here as http://forums.aaca.org/topic/281505-1920s-dash-unknown-make-id-needed/ Thanks, Ric
  2. ... Dash unknown 1920-30s identification needed. Four Gauge Holes are 2 3/8’’ one is 2 7/8’’ and one is 3 1/8’’ overall length is 41 ¾’’. When I got this some 50 years ago there was a rotted wood frame work attached so my guess is its 1920s. I like the gauge layout, its different would look good in a speedster. Thanks for looking, Ric
  3. RBClarke You've done good, to help compare I put photos and ad on the same angle pixel & size. Ric
  4. middle one is 65-66 mustang
  5. Couldn’t find anything under ‘UACO’, but there is a ‘LACO’ German Watch Co that has been around since the 1920s. Seems unlikely they would have any relationship to 1930s Injection Mold Castings in the USA.
  6. Now those two are some good questions- #1, glad to hear your confession and the little bit of me that could be sadistic would love to go down that road but it would fill this thread up, maybe for another thread what should the title be? - #2 Thank you for that Casting Mark suggestion I never thought of it. I wire brushed it down and the indented portion (hard to read) U (or L) ACO /raised portion 255219. I don’t see anything else but I’ll take it apart and clean it. Thanks again, Ric
  7. Here is some more info on the Gauges I’m looking for – I found this 2 3/8” SW Gauge diagram online years ago, I wish I could give due credit but that was 3 computers ago. The diagram gives excellent understanding to the Bezel design that I’m looking for. Thanks, Ric
  8. Studebaker Emblems 1950s Identification needed on these new-old Studebaker ornaments, in online photos I see similar emblems used for some 1956 – 57 Silver & Golden Hawks models, was that it? I haven’t found any close-ups. Was the smaller emblem for the Dash? The original bag part #293977 goes with the larger 2 3/4'' emblem. Thanks, Ric
  9. Fleek, I think that straw was a good one to grasp! I was hopeing that shade of green in time would help identify the rest of it. We are off to good start - thanks, Ric
  10. … Identification needed on the manufacturer of this Instrument Cluster. I took it out of a junkyard Truck Cab 48 years ago. All the Gauges were shot but over the years I have been able to partially upgrade some of the Stewart Warner Gauges. If I can find out what Trucks or Cars came with this panel or gauges it could make the search for parts easier. The Gauges and Speedometer attach from the back side, the Gauge Hole is 2 3/8’’ and the Speedometer is 2 7/8’’. The Temp Gauge pictured is new one, but the rest of the Gauges need mayor repair. The Speedometer is a block of rust inside I would like to find a 100 mph or higher Speedo. Any help will be appreciated, thank you, Ric
  11. … Thanks to everyone who responded to this 1950 Hudson Taillight ad. I was referred to an individual who had one and evil-bay didn’t make a dime on it. .

  15. … Identification needed on this Automotive Lamp it is Milk Glass and 5 3/4” long. 17. … 1920s Hubcap Identification needed, the emblem ‘E’ is a mystery to me, the outermost dia is 3'' the octagon is 2’’ the outside threads are about 2 -3/8, Inside is embossed 'AGMCO'. I would like to find what year and model it is for. It’s been a wall-hanger for decades, not getting it ready for evil-bay. Thank you, Ric
  18. … I am miles away from identifying this Dashboard, check out the differences between these 2 Hupmobile Dash photos; they both share the same Instrument Bezel and that’s about it. My guess is the Woodgrain Dash is off a larger bodied Hupmobile. Hupp made the Model E 8cly from 1925-28 were there larger models made? Can anybody help out here? Thanks, Ric
  19. Hupmobile Dash & Door from 8 cly 1925 Model E ? … All I have found In 1925 Hupmobile with a Door like this and 3 hinges placed similar are the Model E 8 cly Coupe, Cabriolet or Sedan. Have not been able to find any 1925 Closed Car Model E Woodgrain Dash or interior photos, can anybody help there? Thanks, Ric
  20. … Identification needed for this Dashboard and LH Door for a Large Antique or Classic Automobile dating I think from somewhere in the 1920s? Total length is 42.5’’ sides are 7’’ and mid-section is 8’’ high, total weight is 25 lbs. It has the original wood grain and one instrument Bezel. .. I like old Dashboards and instruments and found this one in the Nevada Desert in the 1950s; all the instruments were already gone but size and quality intrigued me. The one oblong Instrument Bezel was still in place and the Lens for the exposed portion would have been 4 5/8’’ tall. .. I would like to find some Gauges just for display; they would not have to be operational. Thanks for looking, Ric
  21. … Pierce Arrow Hubcap - Identification needed, my guess is 1930? through 1932? in Models A, B, Model 43 and? This Cap is for the large Pierce Classics outside dia is 9 1/4'' the inside diameter for the Wheel Hub is 8 1/2’’. My searches show Pierce had similar Caps over 3 or 4 year period and I haven’t been able to find any close-up photos that include this cap, would like to confirm what years and models it is for. The Pierce-Arrow submitted Photo is a 1931 by LeBaron; unknown by me is the Model? This Cap has been a wall-hanger for decades, not getting it ready for evil-bay. Thank you, Ric
