Rob, when I looked at some skylarks for sale on line they all had black hinges, then I saw the one you pointed out and saw they plated theirs so that is why I am hoping one of the 53 guys can give a definite answer, thanks for the help.
Looking to buy a pair of the metal retainers for the front kick panels on a 53 Skylark, I believe they are the same on all 2 door models. They are the thin metal strips that screw to the cowl door post area that the front kick panels slip into. If you have a set in good shape let me know. Thanks.
Al, sounds about right. I took the one without the line off of a 53 motor myself. I also have an early car here with the early crankshaft pulley on it. I will use the one without the line. If anybody needs any 53 buick 4 door rear fenders or doors let me know , I am running out of room. Thanks
I have 2 crankshaft harmonic balancer that both came off a 53 buick v -8 engine. They look identical , have different numbers stamped on them. My question is why does one have a timing line mark and the other is plain ? If the timing mark is on the flywheel why does one have a mark on it ? Thanks.
Does anyone have a copy of the service bulletin about the hood adjustment on a 53 buick. There must be someway to get it to raise up in the rear quicker when opening so it does not dive into the door and fender. Thanks.
