Jim, thanks for the info. The rear glass from a nomad does not work on these cars. I do love the buicks also, probably will buy one in the future but I really want to own one of the cadillac wagons.

Have a 53 4 door Roadmaster parts car that I am getting ready to scrap out. Has a good frame, 4 doors, rear fenders, outer body trim, glass, anyone need anything before I clear it out ?

Having a discussion with a friend. On a 53 Buick king pin, the bearing goes on the bottom of the spindle, we agree on that. The part that is open for discussion is do the small spacer shims sit directly on top of the lower bearing or do they sit on the top portion of the spindle. Thanks.

Hello, has anyone ever changed a pinion seal on a 53 Buick ? The service manuals states that the pinion and drive shaft come out of the diff housing as an assembly. Is this the only way to change the seal? Thanks for any help.

Looking for a set of sunvisor brackets for a 53 convertilbe. The brackets are the ones next to the mirror that the sunvisors snap into. I am told they are the same on any 53 buick convertible and possibly other years as well. Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. The reason I am asking about the spokes is that I have seen some wires with stainless spokes and you can see the difference in gloss between the chrome and the stainless. Not really concerned about them rusting since the car will never see inclement weather. Would be nice to have the stainless spokes though, just trying to get a better idea of what the finished product from dayton looks like. A picture of one of their finished wheels would be great. Has anyone used Dayton wire wheel to restore 53 skylark wheels? Stainless spokes or chromes? Will the stainless spokes look dull compared to the chrome ones? Thanks.

WTB a pair of the small brackets that the ends of the sunvisors clip into next to the mirror. I need them for a 53 Skylark but have been told some other models use the same brackets but I am unsure of this. I also need a 53 skylark power antenna switch and bracket. Thanks.
