There is a 1936 Pierce Arrow on the Hemmings site for a good price. I did not mention it because of your 1934 cutoff date. But if you like a Pierce it may be worth a look.

Yes. I saw it. Talked with the owner. It has been sold. Off to a new home.

All great suggestions. I would love a Pierce or Packard but there have been few and far between club sedans. I am looking at an unrestored 33 Cadillac. I will let you know how that goes.

"Please eliminate those cars we could only dream of driving". Wish Mr Den41Buick would clarify this. I suspect Franklin, Lincoln, Packard and Auburn would fall in that category but who knows.
I was referring to the big cylinder cars, V12 and V16's. I think Franklin, Lincoln, Packard, Pierce-Arrow, are certainly eligible. Thanks for the great suggestions!

Yea. Check with me in a couple of weeks was all I heard during a 3 year engine rebuild. Sounds like they are all reading from the same playbook!

I came across my old 1953 Oldsmobile Super 88 which I sold in 2002. The car was a great uncles car from Pennsylvania. When I sold the car it had 27K original miles. It had original engine, interior and original US Royal tires. I had a new exterior paint job on the car. It was a well sorted car that went off to California. Not sure what happened from there...The pictures make me sick.
The car is now in Australia. The engine was swapped for a small block Chevy. They also swapped out the interior and put green interior/exterior carpeting. Granted a 53 Olds isn't exactly the hottest car in the market, but really. Destroy an original car?

I know there will be lots of varied options on the best driving cars out there. Not only should they be FUN to drive but exhibit enough power to keep up in traffic. Please eliminate those cars that we could only dream about driving. I am thinking we should stay to 6 and 8 cylinders. Thanks for in advance for your opinions.

The wooden blocks in back of the tires are a sure indication something is not quite right. Also, not an ounce of Packard script! Must be very rare indeed!

Hello Grant
Another suggestion, you could reach out to Bill Anderson or Doug Seybold. I don’t know if either of them restored an “A”, but they may have some original resources.

Eek. This is not an original material interior nor is it a correct replacement material. Why do people do this?

A good reference material for pictures may be a 1941 Buick brochure.

Is Ken Eberts coming to Hershey this year with a new poster? I have missed not seeing him for the last few years.

Rare car. Too bad it is overseas.

Went out for a ride with number 2 son. Should start calling him #1, but it hasn’t been a year since we lost Bubba. Teddy gets very excited for rides. He just needs to figure out where the sun is and move to the other side of the car. Well he is still learning. He will be 2 on 9-11. We picked up corn and one apple to sample. The apple was still too sour for me. Teddy didn’t care.

Well here is my 2 cents. I have a model 41 that I have owned for 18 years. The engine looks like it may have been rebuilt in the 1980’s. I have no records of any maintenance being done. My first long ride was to a Buick meet in Connecticut. Oil pressure went to almost zero. Upon return to home I changed the oil to ND 30w with one bottle of Lucas oil treatment. I follow this same prescription yearly as I change the oil and filter. The pressure never gets below 20 and I am happy with that.

Sounds like Ted might be looking to make a deposit to his own account.
