Well after years of searching and driving several Buicks, PierceArrows and Packards, I found myself looking at a car slightly outside of the years I was originally looking at. The Buick 90 series proved to be elusive. The Pierce-Arrows I looked at were all beautiful cars, but a Packard stood out above the rest. The reason for this status was the fact that the car has been in the same family for 70 years. Included are maintenance records as well as the condition of the car as evidenced by the condition of the paint, interior and engine. Oh and it was fun to drive as well.

Hello all experts. It’s been 5 years since the last entry on this thread.
What if any options have changed?
I just acquired a 1937 Packard Super Eight and I expect most of my driving would be 45-60 mph. Thank you! -
From the CCCA website:

Might not be the best time for a lifetime membership?

It is a 8 cylinder. The bumpers are different on the 12 and 16. In any case, it’s too bad.

Yes it is a high quality publication. The only one I now read cover to cover. The good news is it’s not packed with foreign cars like another classic car publication that I will not be renewing.

I would have left it by the curb in hopes it would have been stolen.

Did you find a 37? Curious on what you found. Thanks

My grandfather lent me his 77 LTD II for my prom. It was a light green four door brougham. Loved that car!

I think I am beating the proverbial dead horse, I need Matt Harwood's gif! The spaces were PAID for. AACA cannot guard against hurricanes, illnesses, death, personal issues, etc. There are many reasons why those spaces are empty but they were paid for. The show will get tightened up the best it can be as next year we lose some more real estate.
The only constant is that there will continue to be change. For all of the shortcomings people perceive, where else would you want to be in October? I know I appreciate all the work the Hershey Region and the AACA puts into it. I am counting the days till next year!!!

From the age of the seat covers I would bet the original seats are there and in good condition.

I was able to have someone at the archives to research car ownership for E. Tinkham. Not all the records were available and stopped at 1918.

1908-National 30
1909-Pierce 40

1915-Pierce 48
attached is the 48. Wish I could find more records.

I like this car too. I had a chance a few weeks ago to drive a 35 Ford. What a blast it was driving a car with ok power and mechanical brakes after driving 41 Buicks. There was something about its simplicity I really enjoyed.

If it is bought at the right price, it’s dignity could be salvaged.

Lots of work with this car. You are gonna spend $$$ to get this up to speed.

Hello Phil
I am certain there will be plenty of Buick experts on this side of the pond that will be more than happy to help you source parts and information. Best of luck.
