  1. Another beautiful day in New England. The Roadmaster was itching for a drive. So we decided to take a ride to the Publick House in Sturbridge, MA. We ate lunch in the tavern, then traveled the backroads through Woodstock, CT. Then the car stopped for ice cream in Putnam, CT. We then headed home to celebrate our little boy, Teddy’s first birthday.

  2. Yesterday was a great day on my adventure to drive a Pierce-Arrow. A fellow Pierce-Arrow society member invited me to drive his beautiful 1932 Pierce-Arrow. He was also very generous with his time in answering questions and explaining to me his cars operation. I certainly appreciated his patience. My first impression on the P-A was that it was a well engineered automobile, almost over engineered. Who else would have produced a car with two fan belts and industrial brakes?  It was a fun car to drive, not to mention the stares it received.  1932 is a definitely on the list.

  3. Took a ride with my bride of ** years for lunch to celebrate our anniversary(yesterday) and my birthday (tomorrow) at the Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI. What a beautiful day to drive the back roads of RI in a convertible. We had our lunch on the veranda as usual. We have been going there since the new hotel was built in 2010. It is a beautiful spot for a very relaxing lunch. And yes, classics can park in front of the hotel. (Also because no one knows how to valet them).

  4. Well does Friday count for a weekend? We went to lunch with Taylor Swift (just drove by her home) in Watch Hill at the Ocean House to celebrate our anniversary (yesterday) and my big birthday (tomorrow). What a beautiful day to drive the back roads in a convertible. The temperature was 54 when we left home for a high of 68 with NO humidity and full sun. Couldn't ask for a better day.  Lunch on the veranda was perfect. Always a nice time. We have been going there for lunch since they opened in 2010. Oh yea. I got to park in front of the hotel as well!!

  5. Well it took me a year to figure out how to put the badge on the grille. Lol. I put on approximately 1400 miles last year during COVID-19 lockdown. I have yet to calculate this year so far. Eek, not sure if I will have to put on another badge!

  6. Well only a short drive to pick my car up from having it detailed. Quite pleased, and I can say I am rarely pleased. He spent a lot of time and used some great materials. The car shines like it has never since I have owned it.

  7. Nice warm day on Saturday for a drive. My daughter and I took a ride before the hurricane to Thompson, CT. We saw and abandoned windmill, tower ? Maybe built by the Vikings? We also met a gentlemen who just returned from Monterey. He reports on auto auctions for Hagerty. Good conversation. Went to lunch in Putnam, CT and them went home to prepare for Hurricane Henri. Stay safe out there!

  8. Saturday was a nice but warm day for a drive before Hurricane Henri arrives. My daughter and I went for a drive to Thompson, CT. On our drive we discovered an abandoned windmill, water tower etc? Maybe the "Curse of Oak Island" people can investigate. We also met a man who writes an auto auctions for Hagerty. He had just returned from Monterey. Good conversation. Went to lunch in Putnam, CT and then came home to prepare for the hurricane.

  9. Beautiful day for a ride in the convertible. Spent the day with my daughter driving the back roads of western RI and eastern CT. We passed quite a few farms with cows and others with rows and rows of corn. That got her thinking, how far were we from the Farmers Cow Ice Cream Shop? It was only 14 or so miles out away, so I obliged. We had a sandwich and then ice cream. Well worth the ride. We went through several towns that were incorporated in the late 1600"s, with plenty of old houses to see. We drove close to 150 miles round trip. Good road, great weather, nice scenery and the best part I spent it with my daughter!

  10. Ok, back to driving after several months of waiting for work to get done on the Roadmaster. Today I took a drive from home to Thompson, CT to Woodstock to Pomfret to Hampton to Brooklyn and Scotland, Canterbury, Sterling Oneco, and back to RI on back roads. It was a beautiful day in the low 70's. Made several stops for pictures. Saw several cars from the 50's and 60's, but still NO CLASSICS.

I am unaware of any specific magazine for those specific years of Buicks. Your best bet is to join the Buick Club of America (former member) and you will get a monthly publication called the "Buick Bugle". Although it is open to all years of Buick's I have often saw articles on 1938-1941 Buick's.  That would be your best bet.
