  1. Does anyone have any neat tricks from keeping your shoes from melting to the floorboard, or for sticking to the seats during hot and humid summer days in a prewar car? Open or closed the cars are a sweatbox in the summer for those of us who grew up with A/C. And by the way my cars are black and dark blue which does not help at all. All suggestions welcome!
  2. Does anyone know the transmission oil type for a 1941 Buick? Someone borrowed my shop manual and I am unsure where to add it. Any suggestions? Thanks

  4. Sorry if this may have been mentioned before...Since there are so many hotels, where is the sign in to pick up information packets/tickets?
  5. What was the largest showing of Buicks at a national show?
  6. I purchased a vacuum antenna for my 1941 Buick convertible. The RF connector appears to be a different style than what was used on a 1941 Buick. Maybe this was used on a Packard. I am unsure of its origins. I am hoping that someone can identify it for me and also may provide me advice on an acceptable way to connect it to my radio. Thanks

  9. Has anyone had success with finding an air conditioning system that is compatible with a 6 volt electrical system? If so, can you adapt it to a pre-war car?
  10. The Residence Inn Allentown/Bethlehem is still blocked out. They said "Try next week sometime". (After 6 calls last week and today)
  11. Must be Marriott's then. Yes it is frustrating.
  12. FYI, Still not accepting reservations... Residence Inn Allentown Bethlehem/Lehigh Valley Airport
  13. Has anyone been successful in booking a room yet? I called today and the hotel told me another week before the calendar opens up for July 27, 2016.
  14. For those who want to see it with Google Maps, you can search N. Ellsworth Street, Allentown, PA and just point the arrow to do a virtual drive around it as it looked in Oct 2014. Can't wait to see it up close.
  15. FYI, The Packard Club was at the Bulgari Complex in July. They have posted several pictures. The site looks great. Here is a link if you don't mind looking at a couple of Packard's as well as some Buick's. http://www.packardclub.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3171
  16. The fact that it is a model 41, does it have the upgraded Super options? Does the back seat have an armrest in the middle of the seat? Thanks
  17. I am looking to bring my 41 Roadmaster. I would like to drive there but I am afraid of rain. Is there anyone who knows if there are local transports from New England? Also, not real keen on driving I-95 through CT and NY. Thanks
  18. There were several different woodgrains. If you can find a sales catalog you will see the treatments depending on series.
  19. I am hoping someone was cleaning out their extra parts bin this winter and came across a 41 Buick convertible vacuum antenna. It does not need to work, but I will need all the parts. If you have one for sale please let me know. Thanks!
  20. Anderson, If you buy the car and need a place to hide out and don't mind a lot of snow, let me know! Dennis
  21. Nice Job! You changed the color. Is the color touquet beige? My Roadmaster is in for an engine rebuild. Hope to be on the road in the spring.
  22. I am in the process of a complete rebuild on my cars engine. The current odometer reading is 83K. Not even sure if that is accurate anyway. Should I or should I not reset the odometer to zero based on the fact that for practical purposes, I will be putting a new engine in the car. Not sure what I should do. If I were to sell the car, I would certainly disclose that fact. I know there will be a lot of opinions, but what is best practices? Thanks
