Chrysler Ashtray ?

I came across this astray that I had in storage and I would like to know what model car this might have been from? The outer case is made of plastic.   Thank you

Not sure of the year, but it probably fits on the rear of the front seat in order for the passengers to access it. If you can give us that part number on the lid, we can help further.

Keiser, them numbers do mean something! LOL..  I found it it be a 1951 Chrysler.     Thanks

Actually that is for a 1949-1950 Chrysler 4 door sedan ash tray. it goes on the back of the front seat.

It came in different colors. I have both tan and blue colors with the Chrome lid.

That 1296314 part # came out in 1949 for MoPar.

1951 and 52  Chrysler had a ash tray that flipped out when you pulled it open. Not nearly as nice looking as yours.

crown on the front may mean it is for an imperial. c49er is probably right about all the info, as ii may fit all models for the year, just a different emblem for each model.        dennis
