Rear brakes - 89

Preparing to do a rear brake job on my 89 coupe. Couple of questions:

1. Should I count on having to replace the calipers?  (If so I want to have them on hand before starting)

Is there a good step by step reference on these pages, preferably illustrated?

Thanks.

Said another way........it may depend on where you live.

If you are in the rust belt,  you probably want to have the new calipers when you start the job.

It's a little hard to explain but the rear piston has a screw going into the back that is part of the parking brake mechanism.

Most procedures tell you to have one of those square tools and you screw the piston back into position,  there are other ways of getting the piston back

You need to get the piston back because if the rear pads are worn, you must gain room for the new thicker pads.

The attached sketch shows all the parts for the rear piston.
