Spinneyhill
They are pre-focus head light reflectors. To work properly the bulb filament must be in the right place in the reflector. The screw on the back should move the bulb holder in and out and thus focus the beam from a ragged edged beam to a tight one.
frank29u
My '29 Plymouth manual has adjustment instructions with pictures of the desired light pattern. Hope you can find these for yours.
Spinneyhill
Oh yeah, never thought of that. Duh. There is a section in the Dodge 8 Instruction Book on Headlight Adjustment. Do you have a DeSoto 8 Instruction Book?
