804 gateway timeout

Whenever I get a message like that from any site, I shut down my computer and restart it. That usually helps.

I've had a number of these this week, ONLY ON THIS SITE, fixed by refreshing.  A few weeks ago, occasionally I had to close the browser window for this site and re-open it.  FWIW.....

In other words, 504 errors usually indicate that a different computer, one that the website you're getting the 504 message on doesn't control but relies on, isn't communicating with it quickly enough.

Good, so it is not on my end since it is happening on all devices, OS and browsers.  Is it going to be fixed?

504 errors can often be related to the DNS server you are using (probably your the DNS of your ISP) not communicating with other servers on the internet correctly.

 

Try using one of the free public DNS servers ( https://www.lifewire.com/free-and-public-dns-servers-2626062 .  I never use my the DNS server of my ISP but instead use of the large open DNS servers. - Bob
