detroitsoul
We got all but two out. It seems like the valve guides are twisted and the flat side is jammed in the bore and it won't unseat. Any suggestions?
Ken/Alabama
You can get the valve up and knock it sideways to break it then drive the guide down with a punch. Penetrating oil is your friend.
19tom40
VanPelt rents a set of tools that work very well in removing stuck guides. You can also break off the head of the valve as Ken advised. http://vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/flathead_tools_forsale.htm

DSpringer
Working on an old engine that was really rusted, I found I could place a cold chisel into the spring and break the valve guide. Then pull out the valve (or what's left of it), pry out the spring, and drive out whatever pieces of the guide are still in there. Having the attitude, "I can do this, but it might take some time" helps.
