Posted here is my 1990 convertible Reatta that was purchased from and lived its life in Florida.

After getting it up here to NY a couple years ago I shined her up, fixed the usual issues (headlights, struts, etc).. But have since been unable to find the time to enjoy it as it should (I put 30 miles on her since I've owned it)

The car is mechanically sound but will need a new top and leather on the driver seat to be complete. Breaking system is functional, but should be looked at as the light is on.

She has 109xxx and I am asking $5000OBO. Full history at the ready!

The Windshield is perfect. Paint has a nice gloss. 1-60 in this color combination!

Contact me for details! MUST GO! Price Negotiable!

Getting good production numbers seems to be a shot in the dark.........the original number of 60 driftwood convertibles came from a letter dated Aug 2001.

Mr. Houmard had worked at the GM tech center while in college way back in 1963 but he still had contacts......many years after college he a purchased a Reatta and contacted the people he knew at

the Tech center and they sent him a box with press releases, photos 35mm slides, brochures, a red Reatta model and production data for the 1990 model.

At that point it was the only complete list we had that showed a breakdown of 1990 coupe and convertibles by color and number.

Fast farward a few years and in 2008 Larry Gustin loaned me a printout of all Reattas built.    It was 443 pages of computer print-out and the cars were separated by year, they were not in vin number sequence

which made it very difficult to find a vin number.    An early stab was made to copy, and digitize all the pages and convert that to Excel format so the data could be sorted.    There were lots of scan errors that needed to be corrected, but 1988 was completed,  then we worked on and completed 1989,  and finally last year after a rescan 1990 was completed.    Marck Barker helped by taking the

new data and sorting by color, interior, and by coupe and convertible.    This new information on 1990 Reattas showed some interesting finds.

In this case, it appears the GM numbers we got back in 2001 do not always agree with the data from Mr. Gustin.

The Gustin data shows 63 Driftwood convertibles compared to the earlier 60.

The newer data gives us more detail.......all had tan interiors but 30 had standard seats and 33 had the 16 way seat option.

I hope this helps......the driftwood convertible is still a rare color.

Thanks Barney!

Not sure if you remember me but you sent me the bell crank kit for the headlights and offered a bunch of knowledge and insight 3 years ago when I originally acquired the car. (Replacing the break accumulator worked by the way!!)

Marck has proven to be a great help as well. (Where I got the 1-60 figure)

Keep your ears perked for a good home for her?

Thanks again,

Andrew
