CHROME WHEELS FOR A 93'

RICK YOUNG

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for factory chrome wheels for my 93 RIV.

All I find are 16" from other than 93 Rivs.

I currently have the 15" alloy.

What combination "will fit".

I'm looking at a set off of a 99 Regal GS (16X6.5).

Will they work?

Will the speedometer read correctly?

Any help appreciated!!!!!!!!

ROA member in Iowa,

We're a friendly group; we'd like to know your name and who we're talking to.

If you'll go to the ROA website, www.rivowners.org and look in the member's only section under restoration resources, at the very bottom you will find a link called the "Miata Tire Calculator." You can compare the tire/wheel combinations that you're considering and you'll get a graphic display of diameter, circumference, and width. The big things you need to consider are bolt circle diameter of the two cars, offset and backspacing of the wheels. It might bolt on, but it might not clear brake calipers or it might stick two inches outside the fender lip. Lots of things to consider.

I agree with Rivieraman. The grand touring option (FE3) had a stiffer/sport suspension and solid hubs, not spoke hubs, and chrome wheels were not an option.
