Dave Mellor NJ
In the time you spent posting this question you could have posted the ad.
egor
It depends. If it was restored to original specifications, and you can vouch for that, here would be a good place, or the lincoln continental owners club (lcoc.org). If you're not an expert, get a lcoc club member who is, to take a look. If you know the car isn't original, or don't care to have it examined by experts (as it will be here), put it on ebay, carsonline.com, whatever. If you post some photos, somebody here will be able to steer you in the right direction.
John_S_in_Penna
This forum is certainly a free place to list your car,but getting more exposure elsewhere gives you a better opportunity to sell it. More people may see it elsewhere. In addition to the places already mentioned, tryHemmings Motor News (magazine) and its accompanyingwebsite, www.hemmings.com. Hemmings is the foremostmagazine in the antique-car field--full of hundreds of pagesof classified ads for antique cars and car parts. They arebased in Vermont, and their toll-free number is 800-227-4373.They can helpfully describe to you the ad options they offer. For what you get, their cost is quite modest. As a previous poster mentioned, people will most want a car that is authentically restored--instead of modified witha later engine, flames painted on the hood, etc. All the best to you in your sale! Guest AlCapone
the if I decide to sell it phrase won't help. Either you want to sell it or not. With all due respect buyers like dogs, do not like chasing their own tail. Pictures, location and price will assist you temendously. Welcome ! John_S_in_Penna
Mr. Capone, I believe the owner hasn't decided about his car, and he's asking the helpful adviceof fellow hobbyists who may have more experiencein selling. Like all smart people, he's gatheringinformation before taking the plunge. I know allcar hobbyists are happy to help a fellow car fan!
