auburnseeker
I have an NOS gas pedal I haven't been able to identify after a bunch of searching on the web. Closest I can find is a deteriorated NAsh pedal from the early 50's? There is a part number that they ground most of it off but it's 473XXX I can't make out the 3 numbers where the X's are they may possibly 6's, 9's 0's 8's or 3's They ground off 80 percent of the number molded in the rubber so the metal bracket would fit in the slot it's suppose to go in. Even Wild guesses appreciated.
jeff_a
Not identical, probably a case of form follows function, but the pedal on my 1928 Peerless 6-80 has the same shape and 7 or 8 ribs in the rubber arranged the same way. The only real difference is that it has a little metal "dorsal fin" on the back side instead of a rubber bumper, and 5 slightly-raised metal ribs. Am I certain the pedal on my car came that way out of the factory 86 years ago? No, but owner's manuals for 1926-27 6-80 & 1927-28 6-60 Peerlesses show the same pedals -- as does a sales manual. auburnseeker
I'll have to see if I can decipher the part number better. The mount is the only thing that has me scratching my head. Thanks for the guesses though. It gives me a place to start.
