Guest Michael G.
I have a 1965 Buick riviera that makes a clicking noise and sounds like it is coming from the passengers side rear. When i fill the tank it goes away. Could anyone tell me what they think it is.
Jim65Riv
If your car has a/c and the fuel filter with a return line, you have the return line click. If you search through the threads on this forum, you'll find more information about it. I have owned my 65 for 12 years, and it has always had the click. RivNut
For future reference, it's called the "Riviera rattle." And it's well documented.

Seafoam65
For future reference, it's called the "Riviera rattle." And it's well documented. Ed, my car does not do this, nor did my Dad's 65 he bought new ever have this "documented" rattle.Sounds like I've been missing out on all the fun. Both are A/C cars with the return line. RivNut
Not all of them rattle, but when you hear a rattle, that's probably a good place to start. By documented, I meant that it has come up more that once over the past. Perhaps one of the most often asked questions in a bygone era. When these cars were being driven "as is" 20 - 25 years ago before repairs and restorations, it was common to this complaint.
