auburnseeker
I purchased a large collection of NOS parts and have been slowly selling it off. Most of it is GM. In the lot was this what I believe to be a tail gate or decklid molding for I think an early 1960's GM car according to the part number. The part number doesn't come up in my pretty comprehensive collection of master catalogs so it may actually be a Casting number but it follows the sequence of numbers used on Cadillac, Pontiac and Buick parts of that era. It'a a really big part with maybe 2 or 3 pimples on the entire part and very nice chrome as it has never been installed. It measures 59 and 1/2 inches wide or long by 3 inches tall. Any guesses? I searched the web and my picture books for a couple of hours with no matches other than Pontiac used a similar style molding on 1965 Cars. auburnseeker
Boy that could be it. I can't believe I didn't see one in all the images I looked at. Thanks for the lead!
Fleek
I just got lucky. Hard to find the rear shots of the wagons. Your info about the part number being from the 60's GM gave me a starting point.
