Hi! I'm new here and need to decode a 1938 Buick Century Touring Sedan cowl tag. Been looking all over the place with no results. HELP! Thank you.

Welcome to the Forum.

What are we decoding?

At least tell us what is on the Cowl tag or a photo would be good.

The cowl tag has been painted over, owner would not allow me to brush it clean. Here's what I have been able to uncover:

Line 1: 1938 MOD: 61

Line 2: STYLE NO 38-4619

Line 3: BODY NO 2136

Line 4: TRIM NO 409

Line 5: PAINT NO 523

Line 6: MO 04Y

Thank you,
